What is the difference between scale0 and scaleA. Which one does what? Also I downloaded a mod to be able to hunt the triceratops and Pachycephalosaurus from carnivores 1 in carn. 2.... The Pachycephalosaurus are fine but i am supposed to be able to hunt the triceratops and the Chasmosaurus at the same time. when i first made it like that the triceratops were there but there were no Chasmosaurus. But now all of the sudden im only finding Chasmosaurus and no triceratops and i have no clue why. does anyone know how i can hunt them both at the same time by clicking just 1 option so i dont have to keep switching files back and forth between the Chasmosaurus and triceratops

ok, the scale0 is the maximum size a dino can go to, while the scaleA does the opposite. And, for the Triceratops/Chasmo Problem. The reson it does that is because the Triceratops and Chasmosaurus share the same AI (Artificial Intelegence), and therefore, the ratio of trikes/chasmos varies from equal to rare for both. to hunt both at the same time, just click Chasmosaurus for this reason.

hope that helps!!! B)

Ok thanks i understand the scales now but why is it that some dinos dont have any scales at all and some only have 1. As for my problem with the dinos... ever since i imported the triceratops and pachy im not seeing anymore dimetrodons and triceratops for some reason i put the triceratops pics, sounds, and txt files in the 5th dino slot so when i hunt the 5th dino it shows the triceratops pic and has the triceratops calls as well. where as the chasmos pics and sounds are in the 10th slot. but if i hunt the 10th slot dino none show up on the radar and arent even spawned on the map. and say im hunting the 5th slot (triceratops) and only chasmos show up on the map how come the chasmos respond to the triceratops call and sound like them too? I havnt seen a triceratops in a couple days im getting chasmos all the time... Also is it possible to import a yeti into carnivores 2. i tried but it didnt put any on the map

Well, because the AIs are hardcoded into the program itself, you cannot make duplicate "slots". For that reason, the pachycephalosaurus (which I suppose uses the same AI as gallimimus) took over the next slot, which is the dimetrodon's slot. I found out about that when I realised I couldn't add any more ambient species in Carnivores Ice Age, and when I added the archaeopteryx into C2, only to find out it caused all the Brachios to disappear, and the dinetrodons to appear only in shallow waters. As for having both triceratops and chasmosaurus, I never succeded in it myself, so I can't really help you here. And as for the yeti, it fits like a glove to the ceratosaurus' AI.

so what your saying is that in order to get my dimetrodons back i have to take out the pachy's? and i just found out my triceratops problem but its weird why this happens. in the RES file i had the triceratops in between the allosaurus and velociraptor (5th slot) which is where my chasmosaurus was and had moved the chasmos after the T-rex (10th slot) But the weird thing is that when i put chasmos backin the 5th slot in the res file the triceratops are now in the map. why is it using the 10th slot and not the 5th slot like the game is supposed to. If i take out the triceratops altogether in the res file the chasmosaurus will be on map. but put the triceratops in after the T-rex (10th slot) and now even though the chasmosaurus is in its original spot the triceratops is on the map. (am i just dumb or does this seem weird to you as well)
and how can i get the brachiosaurus to roam land. and can it die.... i lowered its health but it is not dieing.

Brachiosaurus cannot die. The developers didn't give it any dying or sleeping animations. As for roaming land, you can use the dimetrodon's AI and it'll work almost perfect, but when he runs he wouldn't move his legs (no running animation)

but why is it that some dinos dont have any scales at all and some only have 1

none is where it is the default model size and one makes it bigger or smaller (600 scale is normal, original size)

I'm really optimistic for a pessimist.

ok, the scale0 is the maximum size a dino can go to, while the scaleA does the opposite.

No, as I've always stated, Scale0 is the base scale and ScaleA is the variation range. So, the smallest dinosaur would have a scale of Scale0, and the largest one, Scale0+ScaleA.

If you don't believe me, here's an extract from the source code that confirms it:
Code:

 cptr->scale =  (float)(DinoInfo[cptr->CType].Scale0 + rRand(DinoInfo[cptr->CType].ScaleA)) / 1000.f;

If they aren't specified, the default values are 800 and 600, respectively:

Code:

for (int c=0; c<32; c++) {
 DinoInfo[c].Scale0 = 800;
 DinoInfo[c].ScaleA = 600;
 DinoInfo[c].ShDelta = 0;
}
