Hey, I was just curious as to whether or not one could add a new Dinosaur to be hunted in Carnivores 2? I just downloaded Dahlberg's Carcharadontosaurus skin and rather than use it as a re-skin for the T-Rex, I attempted to add it as an entirely separate entity. By renaming many of the files included in the .zip as 'Dino10,' I did succeed in getting the game to register the Carcharadontosaurus as a possible hunting choice but once in game, it didn't appear on the radar. So, is there a way to do this or am I just wasting my time?

well it would need to be set up like this
both the "T-rex" and the "Carcharadontosaurus" need to be selected to hunt in order for the Carcharadontosaurus to appear on the map |

Try to change ai from 18 to 19, it should help but I'm not sure Oops, sorry but it's impossible, because if you type ai 19 instead of 18 then you Carchadontosaurus behave like trophy . And I was tryin to put Carchar. istead of Chasmosaurus but then he behave like herbivorous dinosaur (same as chasmosaurus)So I think It's more complicated than we thought

Yeah, that's how I included Car in the code, Ecco. I'm still unsure as to why T-Rex has to be selected too and furthermore why Car replaces Rex entirely on the map. I was really hoping to have both of them as hunting options but I guess it must be one or the other. |

Try adding any new dinosaurs at the end of the list, even if they are "ambient" ones (in fact, those better be the very last ones). |

Not that it matters but I'm the Ecco poster from above. I couldn't log in for some reason so I just made a new account.
Try this: Pick the first one (T-Rex or Carchar) that appears on the menu. Parasaurolophus Ankylosaurus Stegosaurus Allosaurus Triceratops Velociraptor Spinosaurus Ceratosaurus T-Rex <------------------- Pick the first one only Carcharadontosaurus It should work now, McCracken.
Hey Machf, I tried your idea about adding new ambient dinosaurs, but it didn't work for me. I tried a Coelophysis (skin P.Rex made) and a Galimimus, but only the first one shows up, which is the Coelophysis. I don't think it works for ambient dinosaurs unless you did it differently. |
So according to my Physics teacher, when you do a push-up, your actually pushing the earth away from you, not pushing yourself up. Look out Chuck Norris! | |
