Well, though lately I haven't delved further into the innards of the Carnivores file formats, I believe what we have right now is enough info to make either an editor or an import/export plug-in for some 3D modeling program. Sadly, my programming skills aren't up to the task (you can see my old viewers to realize what I mean), so if anybody with the necessary knowledge in programming with C and OpenGL, or in writing scripts/filters for use with programs such as 3D Studio Max, Milkshape, etc., is willing to help, we'll appreciate it - a lot. We can't offer anything in exchange besides whatever the fans of the series are able to come up with once they count with the proper tools. In the meantime, I'll try to find out more about the remaining unknowns within the file formats. |
