So today we play a kill team game of my list of a Bloodreaper on a juggernaut with the axe of Khorne, hellfire gaze and corpulescence. 5 Furies with MoK, 5 Flesh hounds, and 1 Bloodletter. Absolutely got wrecked by the 2 Ad Mech walkers. My bloodcrusher never even glanced him once. Any suggestions on how to deal with two dragoons? Doesn't really feel like the mono theme has a real counter to those walkers. The furies did better than I thought they would but the hounds were killed off by turn 3. Hate (see what I did there?) the other 3 gods so I stay mono build.

Bit of a late response here, but hopefully it might help. My first suggestion is to possibly swap out one of your gifts for Touch of Uncreation; one shot of strength 8 AP1 is great...if you hit and don't stuff the pen roll (not to mention possible cover saves). Armourbane on the 3 (4) attacks of a Bloodreaper on a juggernaut might prove somewhat more successful - 4 attacks on the charge, hitting on 3's, S5 +2d6, which should average somewhere around 1~2 pens. Other than that though, your Daemons of Khorne basically just have to scratch at it in melee; with Furious Charge they can glance the AV11 walkers, but that's about it. I'm guessing the furies were there for bodies, but their LD2 worries me when it comes to Daemonic Instability. Perhaps think about getting more Bloodletters. Sucks to hear about the hounds, they normally do really well from my experience. So yeah...good luck is the best I can say after that! |
