Hello fellow wargamers. I'm rather new to the forum, though having looked through the Facebook group for a while and now coming here finally.

I'd like to get your impressions on my Team, mainly because I like to bring out Units rarely seen on the grand field, and with terrain all over it becomes hard to grab the little space elves in the open.

I did play a few games with this team, outside of a campaign and inside one and they did great, regardless if it was against Nurgle-Chaos Marines, Space Wolves or even their own kin.

You might wonder what the snipers are doing here...I love them, their ability to seal off areas is sweet, but not their strong-point. With infiltrate they're vital to early grab onto things, and with their rules can still move and shoot, even if it's just the pistol.

Scorpions help in the early pressure, in normal games they're not that strong, but in KT they're hard to ignore, S4 hits, quickly crawling through thick terrain to places were they're not wanted, like sticking to that nasty rocket launcher dude.

And of course, the Banshees run across the field, their rules making them almost as quick as Scorpions, each equipped with a power sword and Shuriken pistol. One might not be to scary for a Marine, but if 3 jump into one? Pretty easy to predict the outcome.

..well, anyways, enough talk and explanation, here they come.

So..what do you guys think? Fun to play against, or how would you take them?

Greetings,

I do like the utility of our close combat units in Kill Team, but I do feel like Banshees are still missing their mark :-/ I also like the Rangers, because they're so cool! But would you consider dropping them and 1 banshee for a walker? More shots down range could turn the tables on some Termies and other higher toughness models.

I could do that, but I personally feel that the Walker is way to high-power. I fielded one in a test game, equipped with 2 Starcannons...it was neither fun for me nor for my opponent.

Also, why use that if one has a lots of Shurkien Pistols? They have that funny, almost-rending...there's nothing in Killteam a Banshee cannot kill, just requires some skill ;3

Bless you and your 'fun first, competive second' outlook.
Every time I play my Tzeench CSM team, I get stomped by people who don't share it.

Very true! I haven't fielded one in my KT games yet, but I may once our campaign picks up steam. I run a solid Scorpion list with some Storm Guardians as my "new recruits". I also use an Arhra model >:)

Thanks Tack, honestly I'm more into 'concept/fun first, competitive second' mood. I usually pick a theme and try to stick to it as close as possible, this KT is a 'Wild Hunt'...a few shooters to pin the enemy in position -the rangers- , a few 'beaters' to secure places - the Striking Scorpions- and drive the enemy team towards my Hunters -the Banshees-.

I do think about a Night-Lord Jumper-only List, too...gonna post that soon.

But if you want to really go 'powaaa' then Dire Avengers and Walkers are the way to go. Nothing they can't shoot down, even with good cover.

Also, don't get me wrong, but I think this List is quite dangerous. With the densitiy of terrain on KT-Tables, high-mobility units like Banshees and S.S are strong. Of course, a one on one isn't preferred, but you have the speed to pile 2 Banshees on one Marine, that'll most likely cut him down.

I did have a few Games with them by now, against Space Wolves, Nurgle Marines with Bikers, Nurgle Marines with Terminators and even a Tau List with Suits...yes you do loose fighters in those fights, but in the end they were all slain, as there's practically almost no place to hide from those nimble Eldar. It's a fun concept, but if it hits it can easily pierce the heart of an enemy team, leaving them crippled and almost easy to take out.
