Eldar Dark Reaper Launcher

Hey guys maybe you can help me figure this out a little bit.

Point of contention in my group is that I took dark reapers with the reaper launchers and used starshot missiles.

I figured there was no problem as they are listed under the weapons profile in the codex
48" range, str 8, ap3)

The point of contention was that those are an upgrade in the codex and are not listed as an upgrade in the kill team eldar codex so they are not available.

Does anyone know what is the official ruling on this is?

If an upgrade is not part of the HoR Army List, I'd say you can't use it. Unfortunate, but for all intents and purposes, it simply doesn't exist in Kill Team games.

You could just go and house rule it and pay the additional 8 pts per model, although I imagine the HoR writes left those out on purpose (at least I'd like to think they did :p). The army lists are quite well balanced as they are, bringing in additional wargear might throw that off pretty quickly. Not to mention the mess you get into when determining which exceptional upgrade would be fine to field and which would not :D

The HOR Kill team entry for Dark Reaper only states "Dark Reaper Launcher". It does not limit the type of shot to starswarm as the Eldar Codex entry does. With this is mind, and going by the Reaper Launcher Profile from same codex, both ammo types are available to Dark Reaper Launchers in HoR Kill Team.

I agree with the statement that if they wanted to include it as an upgrade in HoR Kill team it would have been included. However, the default entry negates that as it blatantly makes both available, BY STANDARD.

I will also post this to the facebook group for more exposure and clarification.
