Just got new Tau Codex, and changing my arm over to the new points.

Am I looking in the wrong place [pages 68-69 and page 95] or do half of the support systems have no points value.

ie. Homing Beacon, Gravity Wave Projector, Multi-Tracker, Network Markerlight, Pulse Accelerator.

The points for them are noted in the list entries for the units that can take them - Pathfinders for example, are the only that can take pulse accelerators.

Confused me to. Some you don't buy, the multi tracker is built in to all crisis suits for exampl.

Thanks of info. Teach me to read the full book properly and not try to do things on the quick.
Lost allot of the nice little gadgets I used to use.
Anyway will find out later tonight. Look for another Wednitus VI Battle report later.
See if I can loose another Commander in turn one.

Ok having played with the new Tau codex, I have a few more questions if anyone can help.

1. Skimmer Movement at Cruising speed upto 12 inches and can still fire main weapon and drones. Flat out cannot fire anything.
Is this correct?
And if moving Flat out can they still lauch Seeker Missiles, called in by another units marker-light?

2. If an XV8 Crisis Battlesuit, which now has the multi-tracker inbuilt, takes three ranged weapon, lets say a Burst Cannon and 2 Plasma Rifles.
Can the 2 plasma's be twin linked, therefore firing burst cannon and twin linked weapon?

3. If a weapon causes instant death, can us use the invulnerable save?

4. If a character has shield drones an is caught directly under a Barrage blast plate, can he still use the Shield drones to take the save?

Thankyou

Instant death can still take an invulnerable save unless the rules for the weapon state it.

As for the shield drones, remember the barrage damages from the centre hole not the direction of the firer bud.

I would say yes. Fairly sure that the codex says if you take two of the same they "count as a twin-linked weapon" so you can fire both.
