Brother Vogt - I loved you BoB log too, are you still working on the Ultramarines? Maybe if i keep churning out Raven Guard i'll catch up to how many Ultras you got through in 6 months!

Jester - Looking forward to seeng your take on Raven Guard, you've definately picked the coolest legion/chapter.

Started work on the first 5 guys of the SternGuard squad tonight. No pics yet, but might take a wip shot or two tomorrow.

Finished the first 5 Sternguard. They were a bit quicker to paint than the Vanguard Vets due to the lack of jump-packs and power weapons!

First up, 3 vets with Combi-meltas.

Vet Segt.

Combi-flamer.

And squad shot.

5 more of these to do and that makes 30 Raven Guard in 6 weeks, not too shabby.

Very nice, someday I shall really have to try and learn how to paint black armour well.

Last 5 SternGuard done.... finally, it was really daunting having those 30 infantry staring at me all unpainted!

Full 10 man squad.

A pretend army shot... the 30 infantry finally completed.

Going to work on a pair of dreads, drop-pod, land speeder, bike squad and various characters next, get them assembled and undercoated and see where we go from there.

Prince of Sambuca - black lightning!
Your white is really smooth. Now you've slaved through the infantry what's next?

nice to see you're still churning through the troops at a fast rate, are they 2 pre-heresy termies i see in the background of the last picture (with an old metal landspeeder as well)?

Crassus - The termies were done ages ago, if you click on the link in my sig you can check them out.

Next up, a drop pod, my 3rd and last as i hate putting them together.

Old school landspeeder with heavy flamer and multi-melta, the pilot is meant to be in the process of pointing out a new target.

2 dreads, one with frag cannon and meltagun, one with multi-melta (from an immolator) and a heavy flamer (again from an immolator).

The dreads are both old metal ones with plastic venerable fronts, however the halves didnt match up so i had to cover the gaps with plasti-card armour.

Hopefully get these guys undercoated and started tomorrow, probably dreads first.

Loving the Vets. Have turned out very nicely.
Old school speeder is very cool. Always loved the model even if a pain to balance!
And the dreads look ace. Very threatening!

And no more Ultras for me. Did add a few bits after BoB though!

Those dreads look good with more bulkier armour, will surely look good with the paint scheme of yours. And old land speeder fits the theme nicely.

Well, the good news is that the rain finally held up long enough for me to spraycoat the dreads, drop-pod and land speeder.

Prior to that though, i've been working on these bad-boys, 4 marine bikers and an attack bike. 2 of the bareheaded guys have space wolf heads with the ponytails/sideburns trimmed off.

Hopefully start painting the drop-pod over the next few days to try and get it out of the way with, hated painting the first two!

Finished painting the Drop Pod, and I think i can categorically state it is the last drop pod im ever going to make/paint, it has to be the most frustrating model to put together and then the most boring model to paint i've ever done... and now i've done three of the buggers!

Tomorrow I think i'll start on the land-speeder and get that done. Decided to redo the base of my first speeder at the same time so it will be nice to complete two birds with one stone.

The drop pod is a such a nice model, but I only ever hear bad things about it. Shame really.

Like the panel on the side, and the white has a nice beaten up look to it. Not tempted to add some weathering to it?

The bikes look good, though they really do need to redo the attack bike as the gunner looks so old! Guess it fits the pre-heresy stuff though. Nice looking pod and look forward to seeing some more painting

Marovian - I'm undecided about weathering so far... might be a chance to try out some weathering powders, maybe...

Mortare - they did redo the bike, its now available in plastic, but i got these guys off ebay so didnt get a lot of choice! It does fit the heresy theme, though i had to greenstuff the helmet to make it look more like a crusader one.

Finished the Land Speeder. It wasnt until I was painting it that i realised i'd forgotten to add plasticard studs to the right shoulder pads of the crew, so i decided to just do some freehand numerals on instead... couldnt be bothered to strip the pads, add the studs while the crew were glued in place and then repaint them.

So here it is.

A shot with the other speeder. Also redid the base of the other one to match the new one.

Will start on the Dreads tomorrow maybe, dont know how much longer i can keep up all the edge highlighting though!

That is a carcking paint job, it really doesn't look like an old model anymore.
