Marovian: Thanks mate. I'm still not sure on the eviscerator. Fireangel: Yup, it would get some greenstuff to make it flow together more. Do you think I should remove the tip or cut it down some? A passage from Armour of Contempt:
Any encouraging words before I start my greenstuff adventure? Edited by Gerner, 21 Mar 2012, 04:07 PM.

I say crack on with the green stuff mate, it can only end well! And I still think you should lose the eviscerator extension. |

@Marovian: Let us hope. I will cut it down, I agree. A small pictureless update: I had a few bad days with a bad mood, but today I got started again. I greenstuffed some torn sleeves, filling some wholes and tried to make the torso and legs come better together. I tried to sculpt/cut a Khorne Symbol on a shoulder-pad, ending with failure. Then my girlfriend, kind as she is, tried to make it. And you know what? She makes it perfect! Damn annoying! I don't know if to love or hate her for it. She have offered to make more, but I think I should focus to learn it myself. That is it, I'm out! |

Very neat stuff Gerner, liking the sons conversions cant wait to see t.em after gap filling.Your TS space wolf is also wicked, my only suggestion for the next one would be that you move the shoulders forward slightly

@Digits: Good idea, I must create an evil scheme to lure her into my hobby. @Dave38x: Thanks. I'm not planning on more space wolves, but it was a tester for some ts Thousand Sons and Deathwatch, and I will remember it there. @Daemon-Forge: Hehe, really cracked me up. And thanks a lot, I re-sized the eviscerator though. Here are some pictures: Bodyguards, Commander and "Priest": ![]() And the three flamers and the one heavy flamer: ![]() The wicked good khorne symbol my girlfriend did, her first try with greenstuff: ![]() Tomorrow I will start doing some hands and making more symbols.

Those 8 guard look good, the guard and marine plastics go well together. I like the space wolf head for the priest he's sweet. If your girlfriend is good at the greenstuff then let her do it. When shes doing it watch her to see how she does it and you will pick up tips! |

@Daemon-Forge: Thanks! I tried to make three (four) different flamers to create variation. ![]() @deffberf: Thanks man! Quite glad of them my self. That was a splendid idea, I will do that. Even though I think it comes down to her having more finger-control. Soo, I actual sprayed them and had them with me on holiday at my parents, but of course I didn't get anything done there. But know I'm back and today I got started by painting them all the first layer of yellow. Here is the result: ![]() ![]() I'm not sure if the officer cap should be yellow too. The yellow is really a pain to paint and get to cover the black, but it is okay. This is also the first time I really do more than one mini at a time.

To be fair, batch paiting is the way to go to get everything done quick. Keep the officers cap yellow, but give it som other colour like a darker peak and perhaps a leather like strap around the middle? |

I know you are right! Good idea about the cap. Okay, I'm really low on mojo now but I managed to paint up the second layer of yellow so now it's better. Any suggestions on how to do the black armour? I'm thinking if I should just drybrush them boltgun metal over the black or there is some better suggestions? ![]() And here is a picture to prove that I have done something today. ![]() First layer of flesh is done and the main colour of yellow is also done. Next up is painting all the leather and the shiny metal.

Nice to see some more progress on these guys mate. Yellow is looking smooth. As for the black armour I am not the best to advise on painting, but I think you may be best with only a single sharp highlight. |

Thanks mate, I will try to keep the log rolling this time. I was thinking that myself after a quick internet search. Do you think adeptus battlegrey will do the trick? And I got the first layer of brown added. ![]() Suggestions on what colour the priests hair should be and ideas on how to paint the non-armour metal parts are very welcome. ![]() You will also notice that I changed the models a bit. |

Hi Gerner, nice conversions and ideas with your Sons of Sek. That yellow, how many layers you need to paint over black to get it that smooth? Are you needing scout upper torsos btw? I think I have something in a range of 5-15 of them, so let me know if you are interested in a trade or something. |

Adeptus battle grey could work, but with black and grey you've just got to experiment to see what you like personally as it's a stark highlight so it's got to be what you like. |

@Lars: I'm sorry, I quite like it my self. @Lucius: First of thanks. ![]() Only two layers of Iyanden Darksun, the rest only got one layer. Yea, both bodies and arms have my interest. Let me shoot you a PM. @Marovian: Very true, thanks.
