I think it's unquestionable how cool and creative the work your group has been doing. That said, for the most part you're showing us work that was completed and displayed years ago - so all we can really say is, "that's cool." - Having said that, there are a few more of your tables I'd love to see - the Indiana Jones one being one. But more importantly, what are you guys currently working on? WIP projects are always going to attract more commentary, because people can have an input.

Commisar,

I was hoping to post some WIP projects as you can appreciate with a largeish group like ours (Skirmish wargames group) everyone is doing something THEY want to do and I dont always have access to WIP stuff , more likely the first time I see it, is at a show finished for the Game that day.
But this might do... "Lucky Pete" Reynolds sent me 6 x pics. Pete in ECW terms, is a staucnch Royalist vainly battling this lost cause (most of the SWG ECW guys are Parliamentarian in their force and figure choices - yours truly inlcuded) and at one point became a bit of an "arms race". The Royalists lost that ! :-) That said here are some of Petes beautiful efforts including some Current WIP for the Commisar .
More Info on what from , how made can come if anyone is interested ...

First up two pics of finished Royalist Horse Units

the Kings Lifeguard of Horse at the Gallop lead by (Petes alter ego) Prince Rupert of the Rhine no less !
Posted Image

supported by The Queens Lifeguard of Horse, (its commander and avid fan(?) of Prince Rupert carrying his own Dog - "Girl"!
Posted Image

and the last unit in Petes Royalist cavalry a WIP Unit the Marquis of Newcastle's "Genetlemen Pensioners"
Posted Image

the next three are various other WIP Projects...
... next his "Hedgeliners" (as he calls them) / or Forlorn Hope
Posted Image

now one of Petes Heavy Guns called "Bad Neighbour" and its crew including Master Gunner...
Posted Image
does anyone recognise the figures ? what range ? your starter for 10?

and finally a very Individual piece ... Pete wanted a Royal Coach for the KIng and his flunkies . A new Mortgage was required to buy such an Animal in 54mm so he did what he always does , he built one ...
King Charles I's Coach...

Are we going to be seeing some Scots as well? One of my favorite artillery pieces from that era is the Frame Gun.

Gods, this is impressive, and that goes for the other thread as well. If it wasn't for the fact that I've got more than enough projects to last me a lifetime already... Of course, that's not hard with my speed, but still.

On the last page you asked if it was worth it to keep posting pics. Please do, I for one am hugely enjoying this. The overall impression of the models and the terrain is brilliant.

A tip for you all.... Note the yellow staining on some of the bases....
This is our discovery of a Paint medium to seal ALL plastics , any kind of plastic prior to painting . It is Button Polish found in most hardware stores. It cleans in methylated Spirts ,seals completely and NEVER does paint peel on top ...ever !
Better than , scrubbing , Detergent and then PVA ,Nail varnish what ever... Try it !! It does not obscure detail and is the best base ever for a primer coat. It works on Buildings too , terrain - perfect . Any Feedback on this , I would like to hear - just give it a reasonable shake and perfect results every time

By the way as a Group we nearly always replace weapons with hard pastic or steel for the pikes etc unless you do not need to(moulded close to the body etc).

The thought of painting that much cavalry at 28mm scares me, so doing that lot is a major achievement. Well done.

I think yes, it's always interesting to see what people are working on, regardless of scale and I am fairly sure we haven't seen anything from El Cid's era before.
