I don't think so, no. Haven't got my codex to hand right now, but I believe they nixed that rule

I use a pair of normal, and 'hide' The Doom behind them.
(I tell my opponent he's there, but they have to shoot through the other pair before they can draw line of sight to him)

You can still do it by buying 3 1-model units, but there goes your Elites slots, and your adding uinecessary Kill Points to your list.
