Hey hey hey!

Long time no see, how are you guys doing these days? :)

It's been a while since I last visited these forums, but seeing as there haven't been much FoW updates lately I thought that I could contribute with some of my current projects. I may not have posted in a while on this forum, but I've been activly painting so I've managed to produce quite a few projects... To many to actually finish one someday :P

This one is for all you who still thinks FoW looks tempting, but haven't got around to start it yet... I'm escpecially thinking about you Marovian, who have said that FoW looks tempting since we first started FoW on this forum two years back ;)

Anyway... Here are a few pictures of my current painting projects, please feel free to comment and I'm happy to any constructive critique you can come up with! Cheers!

Welcome back around these parts Patrik.

I have been working on my FoW slowly as well. Finished up another British Rifle Platoon, so just one more to go and the infantry company is complete. I have also started an early war DAK force. So there are pics in my log of my first painted Pz IV D platoon.

Your Fallschirmjager are looking very nice mate, love the highlighting etc on them, and the bases are good as well. Nice camo work on the Panzers as well. Looking forward to seeing some more from you.

Wow. Lovely. Truely lovely. Those panzers are a thing of beauty. Really good work.
And love the work on the bases. Makes them look ace.

Good to see that you're still alive and kicking mate! Those Fallschirmjaeger are looking quite good, it's the little details (like the casualty on the MG team's base) that really make them work.

After some motivation from this very forum I finished some models that I had been laying around, aswell as taking some pictures of some finished models that I hadn't published yet. So please, do enjoy!

And as I've mentioned in another thread... I have some Kingtigers painted which I used in a tournament not long ago.

Posted Image
690 points of big-cats... They have served me rather well.

I also painted an armoured-recon platoon for the same tournament.

And because I sometimes enjoy sitting down and playing with "action" photos...

I hope you like them. ANd as always, any form of motivation or constructive feedback is more then welcome.

Cheers.

Great painting as usual at this scale mate, I am loving the detail on the germans you've managed to highlight, rank badges etc. I'm dreading painting my Huns, they're not going to be close to your standard.

Camo on the big cats looks rather spiffing too! They all look fantsastic on the terrain too.

It's good to see you back in the fold, what are you sharing next?

Just echoing the others, great painting all around. Of course loving your big cats! Great work on the bases as well, they bring yet something extra to already great models.

Any tips on the big cats about fine tuning them to true kings of the battlefield (on the looks department that is)?

The big cats look sweet and the infantry is fantastically detailed. Puts my little guys to shame :)

Awesome to see you back working on these guys sir, I find your force hugely inspiring. The amount of detail you put onto the infantry is insane I had a crack at doing SS runes on the collars of a few guys and they came out rather badly :( you got any tips on how to do such fine detail?

King tigers and scout cars are looking great too :)

What do you use for the small patches of flowers on the bases of your infantry?

Yeah I second the call for some tips on painting the collar ranks etc. The most detail I can get on my Germans is the waffenfarbe on the shoulder boards, which is relatively easy due to the boards being quite prominant.

Lovely looking SS though, the camo patterns are awesome, and the level of detail on the officer is outstanding.

Cheers guys. Your kind words make it worth posting my pictures here. Very motivating :)

the_great_gonzo: I have some finished Fallschirmjäger waiting for their new bases... So they will probably be coming up next. But then I think I will start painting a new tournament force... I think, SS-Wiking maybe?

Lucius von Kalteisen: I don't know if I got any real tips here... But take your time painting them. Don't settle with "okay". These will be your centre piece models and deserve your full attention.

Maelstrom: The flowers are from a company that I can't remember the name off... But the flowers aren't more then brightly coloured "flock" like material that I glue ontop of the grass. :)

I will try to think about some tips on painting ranks and such on your miniatures... Maybe some pictures even. But now I need to go to bed. Cheers guys!

Psssst... Dave... They are regular Grenadiers... Not SS. Just a few SS-camo helmets there... :P

The Fuhrer will not stand for such rampant disrespect for the property of his chosen soldiery. . .

Looking good man, the models themselves are nice enough but the pictures show them off brilliantly!
