Drawing the line; Am I taking it too far?

The tale of my Dark Eldar is fairly generic. Though for a long time, those Wyches and Archon have been staring at me, on my shelf, I didn't actually get the urge to play them until recently. But, what with the recession and all... Ok, maybe not that dramatic, but still, a lack of funds has left me with very few actual models. My latest opponent, however, is very pleased with his shiny new Blood angels, and wants a large game.

To cut a long story short; Is it OK to use an army mostly of proxy models in a game under the conditions of

1) My opponent agreed to it.
2) I'm pretty skint (kind of) right now.
3)I have an overwhelming urge to play Dark Eldar.

But I can't help feeling bad about it for some reason. I do intend on buying the models, but currently I can't. Is it fair? Or should I resort to using another army? How would you guys feel about playing this kind of army?

Thanks in advance.

When I say proxies, it's a LOT of proxies. I have a list of things written down that I'll give him to make sure he's clear on who is and has what.

It's just down to you and your opponent as long as everyone knows what's what and you're having fun go for it.
