I want to build an Imperial Guard army with Mentor Legion Space Marines in its midst. The Lexicanum says this about the Mentor Legion:
Are there any official rules governing this? If so, where are they? If not, how come??? As a corollary, do any of you have (or know of) custom rules that would cover this army composition. |

The best place to look for list combining Marines and Guard is in the Forge World Imperial Armour books. The list in the 9th book (Badab War part 1) has a great list that has guard as the main elements with marines as strike elements. |

as mentioned look up IA, othwerwise no real "official" way of doing it, unless you play friendly games and mix/match. You could however include straken as a HQ choice yet instead do up a suitably veteran space marine, they have similar stats and all. |
