I think the others have got it right, some of the armour panels are a tiny, tiny bit too shiny, but it's still very, very, very good. |

There's a 'Y' in Ricky. HAzard striped work really well. I like armour but I agree it needs toning down a little. |

I agree with you all to a point, problem is, I didn't want to fall into the trap of having rusty steel all over him and wanted to put some brass in there - with some patinas in. I've dulled the armour down a bit, I don't think my photo setup helped though. I'll shoot some more pictures in a little while, probably be last update til Monday'ish. SC |

Cheers man. Sorry, didn't get photos up last night - was 4am when I went to bed. Just ordered a Macharius Vanquisher... Girlfriend paid for half :D. Always wanted one, easily the best of the malcador/macharius lot. So, expect that in near future. I move back home on Sunday so will restart work then. As is - more for my reference than anyone's, here's what I have to do: HQ Command Squad (Like a papers abstract, I'll do it later, much later). Advancing and firing squad Mortar squad x3 Engineer detachment (7 men + Hades) Macharius Vanquisher Stormtroopers - heavy flamer team + stubber + Melta + Converted watchmaster = 5 Heavy Mortar + Crew To buy eventually = Medusa emplacement, crew and trojan Quartermaster Rough Riders More infantry when I can be bothered... I suspect it's not Steve doing this log at all. Rather some kind of (non) entity inhabiting a Steve shaped husk. Hear me, entity, you can replicate the painting, but not the feeling. The minutia is all wrong. You have the face, the walk, the clever painting hands, but not the soul. You'll never have his soul. |

Yes Lukas, the stuff you don't get from normal people. Sorry about the slow updates, I've been working on a couple of things tonight which may be of interest: PROBLEM: GW stop producing brown ink, one of the best products in the range. SOLUTION: Johnson's Klear, black paint and brown paint. Klear dries extremely glossy and works very nicely, also denser than water so is fantastic for washes. Constructed Engineer Mole team, an engineer and the DK Grenadier stubber fella. Green stuff drying now, prime and paint tomorrow. Booyah. I now have Tomorrow night, Wednesday night to paint before I go for field work to Arran. Only thing I'm looking forward to is some Western Isles Whiskey... Pictures will follow tomorrow morning. I will post finalised pictures of the Renegade Ogryn. Which I may sell as I have no need for it. Any offers are welcome for the time being. SC |
