I wrote this for another forum, it copies over pretty well... So I had this perfect post written up...and then photobucket froze my Chrome.......so I had retype a not-as-good one.. Personally, I don't really know what makes Minecraft enjoyable. The creativity? You basically have free reign over an area so vast, that you won't have any idea of what to with it all. Its all up to you. You can build anything you want, even circles, by using 1meter blocks. The only thing that is holding you back, is your creativity. You can build replicas of certain things, or you can go crazy and make up your own things. certain things, or you can go crazy and make up your own things. If you're not so big on building (then what kind of modeler are you right?) then you can ex the 'endless' world, just grab a sword (Yes, you make your own tools out of different mater ike axes, picks, etc) and just walk in any direction. Chances are you'll never reach the end Not only can you build...but you can destroy. You can take your pick and hack away at someone's house, take it down, then laugh! You can burn it using flint and steel (and laugh some more) or you can blow it up using mass quantities of TNT. Thats something that mak multiplayer so much better than singleplayer (you feel bad about destroying your own stu you do it to someone elses') I really don't find single player all that fun at all, since I'm by myself, and you start at nothi really like online play, with my friend's personal server, where I can build virtually anythin want, while a couple of people hang around with me. You can always find super servers, w there are 30+ people there, but I don't find those nearly as fun. Not only is this game an all-building game, but they also twisted in a small amount of FPS t. During the night (and in dark places like caves) things like zombies and skeletons spawn you have to kill them, before they kill you. On multiplayer, the admins can also make it so player-vs-player is on (the usual) and you can kill your friends too if you wish (and steal th stuff) You have control of a world that is apparently 8 times the surface area of the earth, which pretty large area on its own. And you can do whatever you want with it. The creators, Mojang and Notch, a total of 7 people, are always in the process of making t game better. For instance, they just released Beta 1.3 today. Small game additions and bu fixes are always coming out. Couldn't find my inspiration picture...  But it was something like this:  Except that it was all windows and had some spire-like things at the top. And for the pagoda, I googled castle, and found that instead. Built anything cool yet? And...is it just you and me who are minecraft nerds?

Like the first day I played I couldn't find coal and it was getting dark so I ran up a hill dug into the side and sat in the dark and preyed for morning only to find out a zombie was behide me and I died. My other story was a Doh! moment in I had just found dimond and was digging out of a cave when I hit water and was pushed back in the cave that was 90 blocks deep needless to say I lost the dimonds... |

Oh. My friends and I were on our private server. We were spelunking. I had managed to find 10-20 diamonds, while everyone else found maybe 7-8. We all had large shares of other ores like coal, gold, and iron. We were on our return home (really far away I'd assume) and I managed to hop into a pool of lava. I managed to get out alive...then I burned. As I was waiting to respawn, I could just hear "Tssssss" as all my crap fell into the lava... Needless to say...all that was left was a stack of torches, some cobblestone, and a shovel. I was devastated. I wonder if they'll make a lava sailing boat in the next update that would be nice and I hear rumors of new modes like adventure and zombie invasion. |
