Hey guys, Long time since i posted anything on here, Though i'd get into the swing of painting again, what a better way than painting FoW i'll be going with ruskies, with a hint of Lend Lease going on  thought i'd use the 'open fire' shermans and a trade with Flakjacket for his.heres what i've got so far  and a close up of the painted sherman,   Tell me what you think, C&C welcome GSM |

Looking good so far GSM, your pic's are a bit dark though. You going to paint rooskie slogans on the sides? what about some nice red stars? Looks like i'll have to get those StuG's assembled so we can have a game. You decided whether or not your going tank heavy or footslogging it with a horde? |

Cheers Flakjacket, Red stars would look nice on these, i'll probably get around to it once all six shermans are greened and ready, And Russian slogans, i wouldn't know where to start, would be nice to have a little taster game againts your StuG's I'dd probably go Tank Heavy, thinking Tankodesky, with two or so strelkovy platoons, as for the dark pics, heres some new shots with another sherman painted      Tell me what you think, C&C welcome GSM |

Those pic's are way better. Definately need to add some contrast as Gonzo says, some red stars or slogans would make a huge difference. Are you going to try and hand paint them or go for decals? As an aside have you made a start on building those IS2s yet? They are simply awesome tanks

Yep get some red stars and slogans on there and they will look grand mate. Nice to see some more FoW on here, and Russians as well, not sure we have any on here yet, so good to see some. Hmm perhaps with this many people doing FoW now, we need to organise a small AB FoW tournament sometime? I would be up for that. |

Hey guys, Thanks for the comments, currently sitting at work pondering whether or not to buy a box of T-34 85's I'll probably do the decals, don't think my free hands good enough to paint them, regarding a tournament, would be a great idea, only problem is most of us are scattered accross the UK hopefully get some shots of the IS-2's tonight GSM |

Re: the T34's do it! I just bought some trucks and the last Sexton artillery tank that I needed. Debated for about 5 seconds then just pushed the order now button! haha Yeah I would go with decals, you can get 15mm decals from various places. Google Doms Decals. I have ordered from him before, good prices, and quality decals. Not sure if he does Russian stuff though, but worth a look. |

Russian tanks Good work on these, I've just ordered some T-34s from Plastic Soldier, you get 5 T-34s for £16.50! (turrets for either 76mm of 85mm included) Will let you and any other budding Russian players know what the qualiy is like when I get them.

Looking good mate. One thing though is that the blocks down the middle of the tracks on Shermans were rubber blocks, so what I would do is paint the tracks black or very dark grey. Then just run some silver down the edges. If you get some Vermin Brown or something, water it down and put it over the tracks it will give them a rusty appearance. Just a tip. |

Some nice work in here, great to see some Ruskies on the bunker! Liking the stowage on your Sherman, and the IS-2 looks suitably epic. Do think that without decals they're a little bare, and I'd be tempted to weather the tracks/hull a little, as Kayvaan suggests. Looking forward to more (maybe some infantry?) |

Hey guys, long time no post, But i'm here with a big update (not so much on the painting side) after my game with FJ and realising how weak my shermans actually are, I thought i's go out and get a set of these bad boys   @kayvaan shrike, Regarding the weathering, this is what i want the rest of my tanks to look like (T-34 85 from a while back) anyways more update, Infantry!!!!!! (bad pics, no good lighting  ) freshly delivered from the americans all the way to russia, another 3 Shermans (one more would be nice)  and to rap it all up, a shot of the Army so far  C&C welcome GSM |
