Well well, airsofters, what can i say. Get the kid to move that Eo back, that is too far forward, he needs to get a g23 x3 magnifier otherwise that Eo is completely wasted on its own especially if he is the marksman. |

well if i were to run that setup i wouldnt have put the eotech forwards before i owned the magnifier, i'd move it once i had it. which is why i was confused :/ |

Well heres the first rifle stripped down to its components: Its a Jing Gong Colt M4, Chinese copy of the Mauri/G&P M4's. Got two of them second hand for 60 quid each, Wills had one, and this one I dropped and broke straight away!  The retaining lugs on the plastic body sheared off, luckily I was replacing it with a metal body anyhow, so the process has been speeded up. The whole gun has been sprayed with GW Chaos black, over its original two tone body, so the parts I'm keeping need stripping back to the metal.  What I'm aiming for is a desert/ dark earth look, getting away from the black look. Magpul/Chinese Clone Magpul will be incorporated, but I'm still unsure on the front end yet. I might go for free-floating RIS with a CQB barrel, but that adds to the cost, so I might change my mind. Battery will be in a dummy PEQ box on the front RIS though, wont be enough space in the handguard. What I'm aiming for is something like this:  The first major problem will be 'is my Classic Army metal M4 body compatible with JG?'. Only one way to find out! Edited by Jasevx, 8 Feb 2011, 05:46 PM.

Well, I can't say it doesn't look fun.  How precise are airsoft guns anyway? And how long a range do they have? I'm more than a little bit interested... Even though I'll never have anything like the money for a gun and outfit before I finish uni. |

30-50 metres, with snipers a little further. If the weapons set up right, can be very accurate. A second hand one will set you back 100-200 depending on make. Josh has just spent £260 on a L96 sniper rifle second hand, brand new would have cost him 500. |

Well' I've ordered Krylon Khaki Brown spray paint, and finally found a chinese clone of the Daniel Defence Mk.18 free floating RIS, all for the sum of £37 including postage from HK, though its by mule and tibetan monk. Finally start to get the actual work done on this! |

I've been looking into getting a M14 and tricking it out with the EBR style chassis. Total is ~3000 dollars. Hell of a rifle though. Nice sized round with plenty of range. I dont even wanna think about optics though. |
