Nice to see you again here Pyro I've been on a nid binge for three months now and personally when it comes to nids its really about your taste I.E. do you like large swarms of Gaunts and stealers to overwhelm your opponent or a small group of monsters used to crush your oppenent. It also depends on what your fighting if your fighting IG armor use monsterous nids if fighting light armor and/or infantry then hordes. I myself am using a mixed army of mostly deep-striking monsters (trygon, trygon Prime, Raveners, winged-warriors, and winged-rippers) I like that army because everything can get on the table fast and strike hard.

Hope this helps.

Your welcome I've done "Zilla" and "hordes" in the past so I wanted somthing different and went with a fast army plus I really wanted to have an army with two or three Trygons.

It seems my list was mentioned in passing, but not on my log. i'll duplicate it here:

HQ.
Tyranid Prime - Scything Talons, Pair of Boneswords, Adrenal Glands.

Parasite of Mortrex.

Elites.
2 Zoanthrope Brood.

Doom of Malan'Tai.

Troops.
10 Termagants.

6 Genestealers - Broodlord.

Tervigon - Scything Talons, Adrenal Glands.

Fast Attack.
10 Gargoyles.

Harpy - Twin Stranglethorn Cannon, Adrenal Glands.

Heavy Support.
Trygon - Prime upgrade, Adrenal Glands.

Carnifex - 2xScything Talons, Frag Spines, Bio Plasma, Adrenal Glands.

The Tyranid Prime joins the Termagants in Reserve, as does the Parasite to the Gargoyles.
All I usually have to deploy are the Tervigon, Zoanthropes, Doom and Carnifex, the rest arriving by Deep Strike/Outflank.
So far the lowest wound count on the Trygon has been 2, nobody has managed to kill it in the 1 turn of shooting they have when it arrives.
