It looks like a solid list, I notice your complete lack of Special Characters.. Was this intentional? |

Njall is worth his weight in Plastic Wolf Guard Terminators. His stormlord abbility is kinda lethal, and he has all the Space Wolves Psyker powers. Lukas the Trickster is one of the most annoying Tarpits ever. Take 9 Blood Claws in a Drop pod, upgrade 1 to Lukas and add a Wolf Guard with Wolf Claws to the unit. This will either kill everything it touches, or it -might- take them with it when when Lukas finally dies (Carnifexes, C'tan, Pheonix Lords.. all removed from play, no save) Ragnar Blackmane can chew his way through anything, given time. I saw him over 3 turns eviscerate a mob of 30 Orks single handed, with an average of 13 attacks a round. He's your Horde-Killer. Arjac, The Anvil of Fenris is a monster of a man. He's a Chapter Champion in Terminator armor, armed with S10 Thunder Hammer and Storm Shield. Use him to insta-gib independant characters, or to hamstring a Monsterous Creature. Will list the others later, on my way to work through 5 inches of snow.. |

So should I drop a grey hunter pack and move the list up to a 2k list and have it something like this instead (alterations in green) Wolf Lord - 100 Termi Armour Wolf claw Wolf claw Wolf Tooth Necklace - 175 Rune Priest - 100 Runic Armour chooser of the slain - 130 - Jaws of the wolf world - living lightning Wolf guard x6 - 108 (4 in termi armour + claws are Lord's retinue) 1891 Termi amour x 4 termi Wolf Claw x 4 termi Wolf claw x 4 wolf claw x 2 (With blood claws + Lukas) Power Weapon (for scout wolf guard) Drop Pod - 35 (for lord + retinue) - 303 Dreadnought - 105 TL Heavy Flamer - 105 Drop Pod - 35 Wolf Scouts x8 - 90 MoT Wulfen Power weapon - 120 Grey Hunters x10 - 150 Wolf Standard 2x Flamer - 160 Grey Hunters x10 - 150 Wolf Standard 2x Meltagun - 170 Grey Hunters x10 - 150 Wolf Standard Plasma Gun x2 - 180 Blood Claws x 9 - 135 Lukas - 140 Drop Pod - 35 - 310 Fenrisian Wolf Pack x10 - 80 - 80 Long Fangs x5 - 75 Missile Launcher x 4 -115 Long Fangs x5 - 75 Missile Launcher x 4 -115 Total: 2000 |

Looks good to me, but i'd offer another change.. Try dropping the Wolves, arming one of your Wolf Guard with a Cyclone Launcher along with his Wolf Claws, and upgrade the Drop pods to Deathwind Launchers. should add a little more teeth to it (pardon the pun) The TL Flamer on the Dread is an interesting choice, but have you concidered the firepower of the Assault Cannon? It may only be S6 with 4 shots, but it has rending, so it can even take a pop at Land Raiders. With those launchers fitted, the Drop Pods become more of an annoyance then they used to be, drawing fire that would be used on your more valuable units. (And everybody loves throwing the big template around) ![]() you'll be able to drop both the Dread -and- the Blood Claws in your opponents face turn 1, watch him scramble to kill them and your army can move up into cover/objectives during this massive distraction. This means your Wolf Guard and Lord will arrive later, just where you need them. The pod will open, and you hit the target with a Deathwind template & the fire of the Cyclone launcher. You won't be able to charge on that turn, but it's a pretty powerful suprise to drop on someone late-game. |

This is really starting to look like a list designed for killing Tau/Guard! The Terminators Cyclone Launcher works as a standard marine missile launcher, but it has 2 shots instead of 1, so 2 Krak or Frag Missiles a turn. The Drop Pods Deathwind launchers are the large template gun, and what a lovely suprise they are too ^^ Booom!!! These also have to be the #1 absolute hate of a Kroot unit, especially if he strays out of cover (like when he's running away from your Wolf Lord) Now we've taken you this far, play a few games with it and see how it goes. We'll be able to make a few tweaks depending on your feedback. (I can think of one more change, but don't want to overcomplicate things) |
