I've got the Manchester GW manager to agree to rubber stamp the BoLS datasheets including the Knight titan for use in the Arndale store on par with FW experimental rules, meaning basically, that in apoc matches I won't have to request to use it. Anyhoo, he was insistant that whatever models used were made from GW product, and not say, scratchbuilt from plasticard or resin cast (like the one i JUST bought >_>) and so now, to fufill my dream of using a titan that costs me less than 300 bucks I have to make a knight titan from the stuff sold by games workshop and/or forgeworld. The BoLS Knight Paladin is equipped with a knight battle cannon and suitably sized dreadnought CCW, so I'm thinking the Stompa's CCW and kannon will be just perfect, my main concern is the body and what to make it from and how. Aid and advise me o' Gods of model construction, I beseech thee! |

take a look at sheeps plog using a defiler and a sentinel cockpit (dont tell him but I started to copy his and its not that hard) if you are going to use the tompa weapons i would recommend trying to see if you can find someone who intends using the FW stompa upgrade kits rather than buying a stompa just for the bits |

A few years back I started making a Knight Titan form the BOLS rules using all GW parts and a TOY ED209 as a base. Dunno if the manager will let the TOY ED209 fly (but it's not a GW competators model so maybe?) Anyway, regardless here's what I did so far. http://z11.invisionfree.com/Work_In_Progress/index.php?showtopic=14634&hl= Ork Stompa bits come in very handy! |

Not a Knight, more a Warhound, but build entirely from GW Stuff. The German Thread: http://www.gw-fanworld.net/showthread.php?t=119540 (I hope the pictures work without being registerd) And this guy has two similar Titans build out of GW bits: http://bobpanda.de/warhammer/space-wolves-gallery/ http://bobpanda.de/warhammer/black-saints-gallery/ Edited by Poom, 8 Dec 2010, 06:33 PM.

The dakka dakka one looks awsome, but no description on how he did it. The toy one is not enough gw I think, and the mgs rex looks...well exactly like mgs rex and therefore awsome but also don't play tau and most likely never will. Poom...like...wow o.O The only reason I'm doing a knight is because I can't afford a Warhound so a warhound would be fine, but the only one of those three that has any detail on the build is the german one...and i cannot read german o.o |

I agree, I think what it's missing is larger bulkier armour sections. It seems a bit fragile now. |

Not my build, just saw it on a board i'm reading sometimes. It has a creative use of bits so i thought Roesor might find it interesting for his own titan

You could go for a defiler-knight, might take a little work to make it look loyalist but you'd get an apocalypse unit for only $62 American. Heres some pics for examples: ![]()

Just to be "that guy" for a second, because this is one of my biggest pet peeves(as a Knight fanboy), but Knight's AREN'T Titans. Knights are different class of Warmachine altogether(with their own different styles, ie. the Paladin), with a different focus. Titans are large force support machines meant to engage other Titan class vehicles and the like, as well as support large ground forces. Knights are small one man machines designed for a single household to engage raiding forces of infantry and tanks unsupported by other forces. As for how they scale in 40K, they should be around 8-9" for a Paladin Knight. Edited by Platuan4th, 29 Jan 2011, 08:52 PM.
