i'd say take three squads of 10 warriors not 2 squads of 15, gives teh enemy more targets to shoot at and makes your firepower more flexible/less vulnerable to being wiped out.

first list seems better, but 3x10 beats 2x15 every time

Just thought i'd tell you i might be taking 'crons too after christmas.
The first list will cost you £118.50 (direct from GW)
The second list will cost you £103.50 (direct)

Also, Wolvie won't let you go over 1000 points, and list 1 sounds like more fun. Keep in mind what you might be playing and mission types.

Your call.

So you're going with list 2?

I honestly think list 1 might work better, 2 out of 3 missions involve capturing objectives, which list 2 won't do well. Or not as well as list 1.

With 1 you're flying around with destroyers contesting objectives, turbo boosting for a 3+ cover save. Unless you opponent is packing AP3 flamers, he'll be hard pressed to move them. That can usually bring you to a draw, awin if you can contest all the opponents, and control one of your own.

List 2 will probably be able to claim 1or 2 objectives, but faster armies will easily be able to take more objectives. And monolith's aren't as resistant as they once were.

Trust me, Necrons can win in 40K if you know what your doing. Despite what you have seen at club, I have managed quite a few convincing victories with necrons.

So taking suggestions from other peeps. Were all sayin go with the necron lord with destroyer body. 30 necron warriors. 3 squads of 10. 3 destroyers and 2 heavy destroyers. Should be good and intresting. Q. Who will you put the Lord with?
