It's good to see another Skaven army while I am working on one, it is good to know that someone else is going through the same pain of painting Rats as I am ;)

Love the bonebraker conversion, looks really good, very imposing.

Update: 4 finished Rat Ogres!

Here are the new Rat ogres in all their scarred/bandaged/furry glory!

I painted two different color schemes to help break up the monotony of the sculps. My next 4 will be converted. (Already started 2, but they're so preliminary it's embarassing to even post pictures of them.)

Enjoy! C & C welcome.

Rat Ogres look cool in the two different shades, tempting me to get mine out and start them when i get home from uni

Your abomination looks beautiful in a skaven'y kind of way :)

The rat ogres turned out well. How many are you planning to have?

@DaCone2: I plan on running a block of 6, but painting 8. The next two is being painted with red fur. Gonna practice some blending so it might be a while!

Update: Skaven project postponed

I'm sorry to say, I have to give up the awesome Skaven project. Nobody around here plays WH fantasy except for my friend who plays Dark Elves, and he will never paint his models. Which makes me not want to paint mine. So, to me, there really is no point in continuing such a colossal project without a creative outcome while not making it feel like a job. I'll still play them, just won't put anymore paint on them. Those 200 rats are just going to stay primed I guess.

The big game around here is Warmachine, with roughly 30 players and regular tournaments. So there is support for miniature gaming, just not the one I have all the models for. :P I've always wanted to play competitively, and Warmachine just seems like a better choice for me. I'm not dumped my rats though, as I still play with my friend, and I might get the urge paint up some more rats down the road.

But, all is not lost! I'll try to start up a new project log for the new game (if non-GW related projects are allowed that is.)

Have fun, and thanks for supporting your local ratmen! Remember to still support those who are still painting up those rats! It's very much appreciated.

That's a shame to hear. I just went through the log, and I very much like what you've done so far.
