I dont know a lot about Skaven, but have you thought about adding in some plague monks as you increase the army size? They seem to be quite tough and with the plague furnace with them, they would have the added benefit of looking cool.

The list is a good base, but as you increase points I would look to increase unit sizes before making new ones, and remove the lord and replace him with a couple of cheaper heroes. A doomwheel or two wouldnt go amiss either :)

oh, and unless something has changed in the new rules, I though that unit upgrades (spears, shields) had to be bought for the entire unit, so either the spears would have to be dropped or something else fiddled with.

Thxs dude

I think I am going to drop the giant rats, rat ogers, night runners and/or gutter runners and then get some stormvermin/plague monks and incress unit size, but i am keeping the lord after how well he performed today, I want to upgrade him with a screaming bell in the future.

I would already increase the blocks. I also don't know much about skaven, but I have seen them work pretty well in a 1000 point list with blocks of 30. Certainly the slaves, they are a tarpit, so need a lot of bodies to hold up the enemy.

I should drop the spear on the clanrat unit, it will not do much in the new edition....

Else, it looks like a strong list!

I will not use spears in any new units but they have to stay in that one

You could always mix them with newer units. They then can count as hand weapons, but they look more random and "every men for himself" then a nice coherent unit of skaven?
