Right this started the other week when I was talking to someone who used to work at my local GW shop about warmachine, and he mentioned that they had brought out a new rule set and as I had some Menoth stuff knocking about I thought I would dig it out and have a look. Then a few conversations with Sachiel and Fraser and a visit to W,G,E in Sheffield and Marauder in Stockport, I have the new Menoth codex plus what i already had and i have the start of a 50pt lv 4 tiered list :D with a few bits left to get! But as these things go I have a load of stuff left which I got using the rule of cool so I am going to see after I have painted this one about using the other stuff in different army stiles and swapping units out from my currant list well, we will see how that goes :D

Right here is every thing I have soz about the badly painted Jack tried a fast way to paint him up and did not like it!

Looking forward to shutting down all your magic with Zerkova seeing this! As an aside, the Avatar isn't part of Severius' battlegroup so you don't qualify for the tier 4 bonus. I would think about dropping the unit of Cinerators to 3, and changing the other unit for full Bastions, then using the points to get another minimum Choir, as you are quite 'Jack heavy. eSevvy is pretty complex, who from my limited experiance looks like he would work well with a more ranged battlegroup supported by Menoth's imba solos. Don't forget to use his warjack bond, and remember his feat cannot affect both living AND undead, you have to choose. The Covenant is great for him and is most useful against casters without Arc Nodes (~clings to Zerkova protectively~).

Filthy zealots. Choir die very nicely when you drop AOEs on them. Impressed you're going Tier 4 to start with.

It's not imperative you go straight to Tier 4. I'm debating doing Zerkova's tier list at all because she requires so much support to keep alive. Also I want to throw Alexia in my pants there. At 50 points getting to tier 4 is pretty special, so don't sweat it too much. The benefits arn't fantastic, and it's always fun to experiment with different lists. I'm pretty sure you'll remember how much of Thursday and Friday I spent with my head buried in the Menoth book on the Harbinger's theme list page muttering dire invocations and oaths!

I would personally never run Zerkovas list. Certainly not at tier 4. She's a great caster, but I wouldn't want everything in the hands of doomreavers.

Yeah but it's easier to swap little bits in WM.

It's completely hit or miss, that's what's so funny about it, plus the whole "Orgoth artifact hunter" thing is one of my favourite back-stories (along with her absconding with one of the two remaining Elven Gods), but I digress. It's a pity by beloved horse-faced mini only gives you an extra Doom Reaver UA in her list, while eButcher lets you take as many of them as you like. Should be the other way round IMO. One of these days I want to use her to cast Influence 8 times and have half my opponents army tear the other half apart.

I wouldn't worry about it aking over your house Duncan, even if you bought one of each unit in the entire Menoth book it's not a huge amount, even with a bunch of Warjacks.

Mentoth, my second warmachine army. I'm excited to see what it brings! Are you going for the classic scheme?

Use GW metals. There's no reason not to.

That's a ton of white metal... good luck with that!!!
P3 metalic paints are not that good. The silver is crap (don't know about gold) It has a grainy shine to it. And just looks artificial in comparison to Citadel.

Go Team!!!

I completely disagree on the p3 metals. I think they blow GW's metals out of the water, and I cut them both with the same glaze medium. Maybe its an issue with the batches.

Well maybe it's just an issue with me... It looks like my GW metalics feel crappy lately. So it might be something that I do to make the P3 paints seem weird...

Oh and I like the Armour Wash from P3... It's like badab black and devlan wash put into one neat wash.
