So basically. I can still be spawned whenever. God I freakin hate that. I don't reallly mind being killed by psychicdaemon powers so much as being corrupted, but it's might be worth keeping my null rod inquisitor in to protect against 'Jaws of the wolf' and stuff.

Yeah, annoyed me, but i think when they do the Grey Knight/ Sisters of Battle Codex (i live and pray) they will make their gear affect anything with the word "Daemon" in it's special rules... which perversely should include Wolves of Fenris... hmmmm, "there are no wolves on fenris"

I've got a zinger for you guys. In the Dark Angels (yes you read right) codex under the vet squad it says that up to 3 models may have, amongst other weapons options, twin lightning claws to replace the bolter or chainsword. It then says that any vet may take a combat or storm shield. Does this mean a vet can have a bolter, twin lightning claws, AND a storm shield?

Thanks

if that is the exact wording then YES... but as Roesor said, have fun with that... though you could do it by converting a power-fist so that it is a lightning claw with claws retracted, holding the butt of the bolter whilst the other hand it a fully extended lightning claw... but this is also where a little bit of green stuff comes skills comes in handy!

In the wargear it states that veterans may take either a chainsword or a bolter. that weapon may then be replaced with twin claws on up to three guys. As it says, any veteran may take a combat or storm shield. I take this as saying you can have twin claws and a storm shield, but its the same conundrum as Relic Blade and Storm Shield from the Smurf Dex. you have a two handed weapon (relic blade or twin claws) and a shield (one handed). so you may either use the twin claws together or use one claw and the storm shield.

that seemed to ramble a bit, so to summarise, Bolter, twin claws, Storm Shield = NO, but Twin Claws and Storm Shield = YES, you just need to decide what configuration to use in combat.

Good point, but the vet does have a bolt pistol anyway. I'll model the bolt pistol on the outside of one lightning claw (like on the FW lord zhufur model's powerfist) and mount the shield onti the back of the other lightnng claw.

1) Yes!

2) The FAQ has changed the limit of 3... (to all vets, like the blue codex) They still have to be WYSIWYG

Can Blood Angels use Venerable Dreadnoughts?

Nope, you get Furioso's as elites, Death company dreads as troops, AND normal dreads as heavy support.
You can have librarian dreadnoughts that can fly 12 inches O.o Stop being greedy.

Okay, serious question here. . .

In Imperial Armour 8's updated Elysian list repeated mention is made of the 'Homing Beacon' wargear item, but I can find no description of its rules anywhere in the book. Does anybody know what the hell it does?

is that the same piece of equipment/upgrade that can be given to certain Marine units (drop pod, scouts)? other things cross over from marine to guard so they probably could as well.

The Locator Beacon? As available to Scout Bikers? Thats what I had assumed, but I couldn't find a definite set of rules for the item. Given its points cost in the Elysian list I'd say the rules for the Locator Beacon in Codex: Marines fit the bill well enough.
