To all in my team, you are the chosen of Gonzo. Worship me as your god, love me as your father....er hang on this is my Sunday cult speech, sorry. I hope to keep this fun, fresh, entertaining to you all and those who look on in here and most of all interesting enough for you guys to keep the momentum over the course of the following months so at the end of it you can look back at your figurecase/cabinet/shelf in your games room and see a complete army/selection of painted "stuff" where before there was only undercoated plastic/metal/resin. Hi... thanks for for making me you painting monkey! I'm not a painting machine but I'll try to paint as much as I can. This is my Painting Log I will have some stuff painted for half points ( 2x Leman Russ Vanquisher) maybe something else. For the first month I will have another Leman Russ Vanquisher, 3 Killa Kans and some Orks. I wish we had some points for painting terrain... I would have much more points. Ok so I did a quick count of our points and here is what I got (if you made more that let me know) GONZO: 0 Bodhitree: 0 KERAVIN: 0 KHRANGAR: 0 MARCINECZEK0: 24 FOOT OF ADHESIVE TAPE: 1 NIFE: 5 NOVOGORD: 2.5 OLYMPIAN: 11 EBSOLOM DHAARK 0 Total: 43.5 If you don't have the points for your painted mini that's because it's not in this log or I missed it (sorry for that). You will get points for terrain pal, I did for my realm of battle boards, I have a load of GW terrain to paint too so I will clarify that with Dave of the Digits variety. Welcome aboard! |

Thanks... it might be a good idea to add terrain to the "Tale of...". I'm not sure about the points. It might be that for each tarrain (size doesn't matter) we get one specific point (or points). |

Terrain is very subjective. I think perhaps a picture of each piece should be sent to both myself and Dean to agree points for each time one is built. |

Okie dokie - currently got on the go - Space Wolves Rune Priest & Dreadnought & a couple Long Fangs - all half done so only half points when complete - and considering my inept output level of complete models I'd like to apologise now for failing abysmally - I shall punish myself accordingly... A quick heads up then guys: 1. Anything you paint from now to 30 April 10 will count as half points. From 01 May 10 anythiing un touched by paint brush (save undercoat) will be full points. 2. May I suggest if you wish to contribute towards mays total NOW you paint stuff you've already started. 3. REMEMBER TO INCLUDE A PRE PAINTED PIC HERE FOR THIS MONTH ONLY. I will be checking your plogs daily in MAY so I only need to see undercoated pics there, otherwise the submissions become huge. 4. Read the announcment thread. There are extra points at stake this month. Play games and post bat reps, even if it is only a short piece with pics in your plog of a 500pt game it is still valuable points. 5. Looking back at the last "tale of" the winning team was the one with the longest team thread. There is only so much spamming one man can do so jump on....I mean support your fellow Team members and we will fly this. I have no doubt about it! Onward to victory brothers! |

Yup. Only things that are half points are things started and not more than 50% painted. |

Okay can I ask a silly question - most of my WIP stuff looks more than 50% done (by which I mean about 90-100% of the model has paint on it). However the way I paint means that I am going to be adding washes, glazes and further highlights to the majority of the models in question. For example - the Long Fang Sarge I did for the competition - He's technically got a full coat of paint on him, but I spent last night re-doing the Yellow on his shoulder pad (I found a nicer yellow to do on my army), I also want to re-highlight the armour, gold and redo the pack markings - the backpack also needs some work. My Dreadnought is a repaint job so again looks fully painted, and the 2nd Long Fang looks more complete than he is (same work needs doing as with the Sarge plus some original finishing work - black, base etc..) Obviously I don't want to try and pull a fast one so will get pics that clearly show the differences, but was curious to see where the rules stand on things like this? If it's going to over complicate matters I'll make sure not to add them to my contribution this month.

Hello all, it seems that I'm with you guys. Note that I'm from the other side of the channel, so it takes a while to see updates.  My painting log Ok, I have for this month my star trek ship (no, still not finished). It is still very WIP, but should be done by the end of the month. And I think that will be 5 points then? Hopefully this isn't like this cat.
