i dont know about blood angels but codex: normal marines has relic blades. they're 2 handed power weapons and they add +2 to your strength. unless it tells you more about them, i'd say they were basic power weapons that stop you using a pistol as a second hand weapon in combat.

Could be that they are similar to an Ork big choppa - its a two handed weapon that confers +2 strength.

Being a power weapon would also confer the benefit of no armour saves, so I assume it would give both enhanced strength and the power weapon bonus.

I would imagine that you couldn't gain a bonus attack for multiple weapons if you're wielding a two handed weapon though, but I can't recall the rules being specfic in confirming this.

It says it is a two handed master crafted power weapon, but no reference if it gives a strength benefit.

i that case, it is probably just a normal master crafted power weapon that stops you having an extra attack if you have a pistol as well.

e.g. marine sgt with power sword and pistol = 2 attacks + 1 for 2 hand weaponds + 1 for charging

but with your 2 handed weapon
marine sgt with master crafted 2 handed weapon + pistol = 2 attacks + 1 for charging

Tis just a standard power weapon that allows a single reroll to hit, no strength bonus.

Aye, just stanadrd, only reason it's 'two handed' is because they get two attacks basic anyway.

I was curious about this, since I have a 2H wpn question. In the Chaos codex, the HQ chaos lord can be placed in termie armor, and may select a daemon weapon in place of the power weapon. But it says two-handed wpn in the daemon weapon description, but does not say you must drop the twin-linked bolter. Can I build a Chaos lord model in Terminator armor, and have a twin-linked bolter as well as a daemon weapon? (with appropriate points cost of course.)

Got an awesome idea for my new Chaos Commander, but only if the rules allow it. ;-)

yep, he can have both. he just cant use both in the same turn i think. its either the turn or the phase. turn makes more sense to me

I normally avoid such issues by taking the Tzeentchian Daemon weapon..

It's a Gun -and- a Sword/staff/axe/cheesegrater

As he's wearing terminator armour the lord would be able to fire the twin linked bolter in the shooting phase and then assault with the daemon weapon in the assault phase.
