Being a complete numpty i cant find the entry in the codex for the possibility of plain bolt pistol/chainsword marines without jump packs unless taking them vanguard marines. Need help finding the entry plus Are they any good. J5 |

Assault squads can trade their jump packs for a Rhino or Drop pod. Usually, yes. Though their means of getting to combat differs, and they cannot move and charge in the same turn, they tend to hit combat with higher numbers; especially when drop podding. Dave out. |

Or you could switch to Templars where they can ALL change their bolters to chainswords and pistols. Hmmmm....20 man close combatty 40 attack goodness. |
