Well I was at the Brighton Model World this weekend and the place was just full of fantastic displays and retailers selling all sorts of cool tools and kits. As usual I was weak and bought all this stuff.

This was just too much too resist. Digital Vernier Caliper for only £16 for easy and extremely accurate, internal & external, measuring. Mmmmm

These Mini-Clamps looked very useful......

Posted Image

..as did this hand vice for working on small stuff...

Posted Image

...some very handy and cheap (£1.95 for 1m) copper chain in different sizes.....

Posted Image

... copper wire normally used for transformer winding.....

Posted Image

...jewelery wire (don't ask) useful for making all sorts of chain links and loops......

Posted Image

...some interesting ready riveted bridge plates from a 'Wills' railway modelling kit....

Posted Image

...a very interesting old kit with lots of useful bits...

...and finally a 1:76 Churhill Bridgelayer kit. Lots of lovely complex engineering.

Oooh I feel a conversion coming on for a Basilisk!!!!

So have I and that's why I just snapped it up when I saw it. It was the only one there too. :D Heh, heh!

It's very nice and it's mine, ALL MINE!

Keep an eye on my next thread as it will be a scratch bulit version of this kit on a Basilisk Chassis. Hope to be starting it tonight and will enter it for the PC Comp if I finish it on time.

I did say in a couple of topic threads that I was going there this weekend. Maybe I shoiuld have put up a new topic to announce it. Well just for advance notice it will be on again on the 11th, 12th & 13th Feb 2011. It's well woeth it as there are some fantastic display dioramas and trains, etc........

I'll make announcements for any other shows that I go to
