A big thankyou to everyone for their support and input on this one. I am going to have a practice on some older models at using a sponge to do weathering/chipping before I have a go at painting this one. I will have a look at some of tutorials on here as well before I start.

I have enetered the model in a competition on heresy-online.net there are a couple of well done models with greenstuff and a cool ork battlewagon if anyone is interested.

Now, what to do for my next project? Should I finish my other flyer or buld some more jetbikes? Anyone want to see my jetbikes? Or some terrain?

Reminds me of the future gunship in Aliens, and to a lesser extent Avatar. A great conversion sir, its nice to actually SEE the door gunners now that the wings are no longer in the way.

It looks rather cool. Very nice conversion. Reminds me of both the Serenity from Firefly and the Macaw air transport from the Titanium Rain comic:

Two years later, I start panting it. This thing must have driven my wife mad for the last 2 years sitting on the bookshelf collecting dust.

Trying to paint somethig on the screen has driven me potty. I just can't paint thin enough line to make it even remotely decent. The paint is either to thick and makes a thick line or it is too thin and doesn't have enough pigment left in it to make it visible. The other problem I have when using a thin brush is that the paint dries on it before I get it near the model. Any suggestions?

Used a sponge to do the paint chips, but I might have over done it.

When I painted the screens on my Marine bikes, besides the screen glare (gem finish), I only put on thin white crosshairs, with 2 different color blips (dots) on the screen. Simple, yet it gets the point across.

Panel lines and rivets shaded. Starboard wing panels almost repainted.
