Hey guys. There has been some conversations about having a Plasticard challenge of some sort. As I am afraid this wont pull a lot of participation from the full site Digits and I have discussed it and he will let me run it as a side competition to the main "Single Fig/Vehicle comp. I may even pony up some prize support of some sort... Anyway, 1.) Are there any scratchbuilders/kitbashers that would be interested? 2.) What rules about Pcard content percentages, Size and Composition shall we follow? 3.) How long shall the comp run? Pictures will be posted of a Pre-Primered model will be submitted for a comp end poll like the Fantasy Challenge. Painted minis may be posted too but are not required and will not be part of the judgeing Discuss! |

count me in - need the mojo boost i was thinking something small-ish to start with- lets not start off with scatched leviathans and the like. how about a turret or a set number of tank accesories for the race of your choice just my 2p worth |

So not a scratch built 40k SM Battle barge then? Whilst I have no where near the skills to take part, seeing what those that do come up with will be great

Thats why we are discussing rules... What size should we plan on.... Rictus can make a superheavy but it'll take him 6 months... I'm thinking more like 2-3 months. But again it depends on size and we want you to be a little pushed otherwise it wouldnt be a challenge... (and a smaller comp may get some of the "part timers" to join in...) 1) I would most definitively be interested! 2) I'd go for a tank or smaller, maybe down to walker sized. Include flyers up to Arvus or valk size, and I think we have a decent range. 3) Definitively longer than a month. I don't think three would be too long, to be honest... |

I was to be honest dubious when I read the title, but design and build a turret sounds pretty interesting and differnt to me. A whole take would be beyond me, but a turret = manageable |

If it was over a few months, three being most attractive to me, i would try to take part, i much prefer scratchbuilding to painting and i would like to do this. I think i could probably manage a titan in that time so id try. most certainly the motivation would be good. Then again im sure id not finish as usual. |

GI... You start with nothing and then build and convert and have your conversion judged.

Dean that's a pretty good idea for the side competition. You can count me in. As for the size of this thing I don't think it should be limited to something small and boring like turret. 1 month should be enough to make a decent tank or small flyier. Any more time and we end up with warhounds and leviathans...so one month competition would be great. |

I love the idea of something like a "FW Style" conversion kit (so a new hull or turret for a tank) or a complete scratchbuild, i would be able to do it as well as it would fit perfectly in with my army plans ![]() Nothing too big but nothing too small either sort of thing. |

I'd like to get Tinners, Rictus and Changling in on this if they want... Anybody want to PM them? Leaving this open till Friday then I shall make some decisions on size and duration. I dont want to put a limit on composition though because of the diversity of styles, armies, and modellers. |
