This was my first chimera conversion. I remember someone doing an M577 conversion a while back and that inspired this model. I kept this one simple and used the front of the chimera hull top to make it an actual chimera conversion and not a basilisk conversion. After cutting away the rear of the top plate I made a very basic PC box and added the Chimera rear door and loads of rivets (these were sections of plastic rod. Made before I got my wonerful Punch& Die set) ![]() ![]() Then I added lots of details and stowage.... ![]() ..ton the left side; tool box, tent poles, shovel, tow cable, backpacks..... ![]() ..on the rear; tent ridge sections, lifting eyes..... ![]() ..on the right side; a pick-axe, sandbags, tarp rolls and the radio antenna array.... ![]() ..on the front; a 'Death's Head' eagle, AC filter grill and new rivets... ![]() ..and on the top; jerrycans in a rack, a power box (from a Sentinel), a tarp roll and the large rear tent that would go over the poles. ..and now the finished model after undercoating ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ..and finally the finished model painted and weathered ![]() ![]() ![]()

Nice work mate. I like the details such as the yellow bands on the grenades, and the jerry can tops. Well done. |

looks wicked mate, not a fan of the "Boxyness" of the build but the detail and effort is top notch! |

Thanks, but the whips won't break in storage as they are made from plastic coated bead wire so they bend easily and they are fixed in with superglue. I made this mod after the first set of whips snapped even before the vehicle was finished |

Impressive work Changeling, you've certainly got attention to detail... Nailed the M577-look too. |

Nice idea. Gives the rear section enough mass to comfortably house a few Ogryns. |
