l recently used the two blood angel tac squads and a chaplin i'd left at my girlfriends last sat' in a 500 point 'new army' tournament, my case was stuck at home so it's a bloody good job i'd left them there, I came fourth but my girlfriend beat me last round and got third O.o She won't stop rubbing it in and I'm slightly regretting buying her her own army >_< 3 out of her entire 6 games shes ever played have been against me and shes beaten me all three times and now proclaims that I am 'bad at the game' at every oppertunity, but each time I was deliberately going easy on her so she'd get a feel for and enjoy the game, but now shes tttaauunnttinngg me. Part of me is rather proud that out of 6 games shes only lost 1 and to a vet ( and that came down to literally one bad roll), and she's picking things up really quickly and enjoying herself... ...the other part wants to crush her utterly o.O What should I do? Continue to take the constant mockery and continue treating her as a beginner and slowly introduce her to losing so she isn't crushed and develops a love for the game... Or do I beat her now while I still can? |

i'd take a guess at beat her now, but make sure you make it close enough so that it looks like it could have gone either way for most of the battle |

i have always been of the mind set of play to have fun who wins and who loses makes no differance. i also never take it easy on any one i just play. i have been very over competative in the past to the point of people not wanting to play even simple board games with me. so i kinda play half distracted now worry more about bantering then actually play with alot of stategy. |

Bram': I tried.I basically crushed one of her squads in close combat by using all my troops in one combat, and the next one was in charge range, but she was now convinced she would lose so I only attacked her other squad with half my troops, and sent the other half to engage her Inquisitor Lords Retuine, she ended up wining by total annilation. Foe': Yes thats how I try to play, butI hate losing to bad winners who rub it in your face. Although I AM glad shes happy about winning. |

what army is she playing? some forces are extremely weak at small points values, some are extremely strong. For example, Tau are monstrous at 500 point matches. My advice would be have a 2000pt game with her, see if she has a decent grasp of tactics. And as far as winning against her goes, crush her utterly.... if you buy her chocolate afterwards she will soon forget

Not warhammer related, but my girl keeps winning from me in Carcasonne. Even though I won in a small school tournament. |

Dave: She uses witchunters, so I crush her normal troops in close comabt, but her Lord and retuine is a CC monster...thanks to me >_< Incidently I recently managed to force a draw with her in a 1000 pt capture and control dawn of war, she got extremely shaken up when the very first model to die was her Inquisitor Lord ![]() Mephistion is awsome. Used him in three matches so far and in each one hes killed a HQ in the first fight hes gotten into, Lord, Daemon Prince and Chapter Master. Also held his own against a Bloodthirster and only failed to kill it because of its stoopid 2+ inv' . No invunerable save but Iniative 6 and if his 'Might of heroes' (+ d3 attacks) works he can get up to 9 attacks on a charge. at WS 6 and S 5. And if anything does survive that I can generally finish them off with his force weapon. But, and I really must be stupid, I reminded her that the Cannoness I bought her is immune to force wepaon attacks >_< |

Well...Mephistion has been rendered almost useless, his abilities lie in close combat, but to avoid her Vindicare killing him before her second turn he has to hide o.o blasted exitus rifile. Beat her today ![]() ...she'd been having Migraines all day though >_> |
