I'm just posting a collection of my finished buildings For my COD board. Let me know what you guys think. Imperial Graveyard. Imperial graveyards are only for the richest and most noble Imperial citizens. Everyone else just gets cremated. Heh. For the grass I used Barrule's Autumn mix and the leaves were done with Barrule's leaf litter. The gravestones and gargoyles are Armorcast. The mausoleum is COD wall panels and sheet styrene with a warhammer General standard used as a grim reaper. The trees are real twigs with dryad branches glued on them. Everything else was textured sheet styrene and foamcore. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Imperial Fountain This fountain was made mainly from COD bits. The equestrian statue was made from anything in my bits box that looked archaic plus some new Chaos knights bits with the evil chaos stuff shaved off of him. The intention was that he was some honorable hero from pre-imperium days that was allowed to still be revered on this City of Death The algae in the water was created by dropping green foliage basing into layers of "wet" wet effects. after about 8 layers it started to look aight :p ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Here's a few more.... Imperial Waste Reclamatorum Pool of green poop..... Here's a few painted pics of one of my oldest Terrain pieces EVAR. This thing has been built, rebuilt, ravaged by a feral cat, dropped, cracked, painted & repainted. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Imperial Hall of Judges I made the core of the building using Pegasus hobbies Gothic building pieces, then added details like buttresses and lamps from the COD terrain pieces. The collapsed roof was made out of foamcore and sheet styrene, cut and bent into shape, super glued to reinforce. The billboard was a simple mod from a few pieces of sheet plastic and some COD scenery bits. The panel in the billboard was a funny poster I saw somewhere on a 40k forum. I thought it would be great on this piece, so I took the pic and played around with it in photoshop to make it work on the billboard. The bottom level has detail pieces I made in order to enhance the "goth-tech" look of the building. Here's where it stands now, about 90% finished. I still want to add shattered glass throughout the rubble and smooth out some of the highlights. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I think this must have got lost, noone checks this section much so things sink unnoticed. Fantastic work, all of it. Gobsmacking. I love the slime in the pipey thing. I love all of it. Mutant Powers poster is ace as well. I notice you have another thread in here that's also virginal. I'm excited now. That sounds wrong. Welcome to the AB. |

Thanks for the compliments guys! @Severian I designed the gaming table mat myself. I spent about 30hrs or so in Photoshop layering textures and roads, etc. then I had one of my printers print it out 4'x6' and mount it on a black sintra board with a laminate over it to protect it. Each city block is either 12"x12" or 12" x 18" Here's a small thumbnail of the whole board.

Thanks for the compliments guys! To everyone asking about the billboard... I found a funny 40k inspirational poster on some forum (can't seem to find the link right now) Took the jpeg and reformatted it to be in proportion to the billboard. I then printed it out cut to size and glued it onto a plastic billboard frame I made. Here is my Work In Progress Blog about that building: http://www.kanis-electronika.com/tankwareuropa/node/33 |

i really like this terrain, your mixing of the 40k CoD stuff with WFB pieces really gives it a 'dark age of technology' feel, lovely work

Thanks LotrCrown. I don't physically have a printer that big, but one of my print agencies that I use printed it for me. I designed it myself, he printed it and mounted it on Sintra for me. I'm a Graphic Designer by trade so I have connections to vendors that can produce materials of this size and larger. |
