I'm with Digits its all Bollocks. The only people winning is Sony as drones from both sides buy! and while the idea is amusing an Indie label tune would have been better. As for RATM while I have the tune and like it (though the tought of Limp Bizkit's 'Break stuff' as Chritmas number 1 instead has me in fits) they could do with growing up a bit over the F's on the radio. There is a time and a place and live radio ain't it. Not big. not Clever. Using the word does not make you a rebel (which if thats what someone wants to be is a bit sad in itself since so many claim that they are  )

Cynic that I am, has any one checked that this didnt start from Cowells facebook account!?!

It is. and that is in context when in the privacy of your own home (as would be the case with Break stuff which is even more 'unsubtle') not live on radio. Others self censure when playing live so why cant they? To be fair I assume that it was in the song that it happened since I dont do 5 Live .

Ahhhhh! I see. I will confess to having only a limited knowledge of their other songs.

I feel your pain Its funny and yet somehow the 'Value' of the song is being Sooooo cheapened. Could only have been made Worse by getting Jedward to re-record it. :o .......Louis Walsh isnt a member of the forum... is he?

Why could the fella that started this not have gone for Goldie Looking Chain, 'your mothers got a P***s'? Now THAT would have been funny since so many chavs would have joined in the purchase!

PS. once more I have to ask since I see it before me at the top of the Page....Who the hell is Harry Reid and why should I want to kick him out of office!!!!!!!

I like the fact that this is going on, and the fact the choice of song happens to be by one of my favourite bands is a bonus. It does go someway against what Rage stand for and seems slightly ironic but hey I've bought my copy just coz it would be funny to see it at number one instead of the usual x factor pap.

Plus I can't stand simon cowell and I love the fact he thinks its a personal attack on him.

So I did what I was told an bought rage. Ohh.........

On '5 live' they had RATM do Killing in the name after a short interview, it was about 1pm so they had them cut the f-bombs, except that when it got to the last 'I won't do what you tell me' They did it properly and sung it three times as loud and got around 5 bombs out before you audibly hear 'getridofit!' :D
Awsomes.

Big media stunt by sony...end of story.

I think RATM are being used as part of a viral campaign by Sony, it's got nothing to do with rebellion or putting down Cowell it's just another stunt which has unfortunately dragged a great band down to the level of pop factor bands. Cowell will get a cut at the end of the day so what's the point because no matter what he says in the media he's laughing either way.

Hmmm, irrespective of the success and the surrounding paranoia I think we should do it again next year, but with a British band and a half decent song. . . But which one?

Dave out.

Yeah I've seen it popping all over the net.

I could be wrong though but given that it is a win win situation for Sony it does make sense. It's a bit like watching a boxing match with two fighters run by the same manager, either way one of his guys is going to win.
You are going to have pro - factor fans buying that joe bloke's record record and people who aren't really RATM fans buying their record just to stick it to Cowell. The sad bit is that he and Sony win either way.

I reckon it's Sony in league with the reverse vampires!
