It's lunch time here and I've spent 87p on this.

Man up!

Erm, all those who purchased from amazon have made a grave mistake! Because it is under 40p for the track, apparently it doesn't actually count towards the chart listings. Still to get my copy, gonna do it tomorrow.

Dave out.
Amazon have said it's fine - something along the lines of it counts so long as it is sold to the retailer for 40p it counts, if they want to discount it then it's their business, plus they're selling the X-factor one for the same price
Ah, I stand corrected.

Dave out.

Apparently if more than two copies are baught at once it comes up as suspicious and doesn't count either. Im supporting them though. Be nice to have something at no.1 that isnt complete drivel

I got one of the each of EXPLICIT and relatively safe - and neatly those nice people at Amazon gave me a £3 credit for buying CD's from them last week

Sony have announced today, Simon Cowell will get a cut of the 'Rage of' profits, due to him generating it. Which plonker chose a Sony owned song to do this?

Bought several copies earlier in the week, they had the band on 5 live this morning live from US, interview plus live playing of the song.....up until the bit all the other radio station cut the song.....where the band dropped several F bombs before being cut off.....apparently they promised they wouldn't do it. Naive of 5 live methinks...

ARGH!! I own no computer or laptop of my own :(
I have however been playing the song full blast whenever my x factor, twilight, high school musical loving 17 year old chav brother plays joe's song...or in fact...anything. His general music taste is pretty much all round sterotypical 'girl who wants to be a singer'. I support his chosen path, but not when I can feel 'swing batta batta swing' from the furthest end of my room.
Some x factor fans attempted to start a rumour that RATM was actually under simon cowells label or somesuch...and yet...I still do not recall seeing any significant group against RATM getting No. 1.
...I'm going to download it on my brothers computer next oppertunity, and then, if/when they win, I'll tell him ^_^

HOW THE HELL DOES COWELL DESERVE SOME OF RATM'S SALES PROFITS??!!!

sorry, but i think that says everything that needs to be said about the music industry... :(

My brother tried to argue that this 'Joe' deserved the christmas number one completely because he was 'really good' and 'when was the last time that these guys were in the charts?'
TOOL! That's not the point! >_> he wouldn't listen. Cowell's being a real [arse] about it too, none of this 'may the best one win' or 'finally some competition' he used words like 'cynical and spiteful' if I recall correctly, whereas RATM put their full support into it, well, I suppose they get a christmas bonus o.O

Go post in someone's topic that you normally wouldn't
http://uk.news.yahoo.com/21/20091218/ten-joe-mcelderry-shrugs-off-campaign-5f8abb3.html

But Joe said he was still to hear the song: "I think I should maybe have a listen to it but I haven't heard it yet."

An X factor winner who knows nothing about music - shock horror

You are ALL fools! What do you think this will do to sales of Joe's record?

The more people that buy illing in the name - the MORE people will but the x factor song!! Quite simple really, he may not get the No 1, but he WILL make even more cash from it!!!!
