To be frank, I think they look like poo. Lots of oddly-shaped plate armor, and there's something wrong with the backs of his legs. Might just be the paintjob, though. I'm exceedingly fond of Kasrkin as they are, thanks. |

They are to the Kasrkin, what a Skoda is to a Rolls Royce I'm afraid. Very nasty. |

I think the pig iron range has potential but not too keen on their model range. This new lot are by a new sculptor that they have bought in but I'm not overly impressed. The addition of a games system to support their system is interesting news though because I think that the background universe and miniature range has potential. Some of the stuff they do is quite nice but it is very amateur in comparison to most companies models. |

I think Pig Iron arn't hitting the right ideas, there biggest market isn't just there own system but people like us who convert for IG. I'd like to see the weapons cast seperately from the body so conversion becomes alot easier |

They don't have the graceful lines of most Tau stuff. |

true that ricky, but then again there is nothing graceful about the plastic xv8s and '88s... slap one of the visored heavy infantry helmets on them and it would help a lot, similarly replacing the weapon would also help. I think that they fit best as auxies, i know i bang on about it but the kit is halfway between guard and tau... the sculpts definately arent the best though... |

It does seem that they are in a bit of a odd spot in the market. I haven't seen many people painting up their complete minis but have seen loads of IG conversions using their heads. The danger of tailoring your product range to suit someone else's miniature lines is that you are ultimately supporting another company's products rather than investing time in your own original IP. This is a bit of a near sighted approach in my opinion because you are riding the coat tails of someone else when there is more money to be made in going for something original if you can make it a success. |

Agree but a good balance wouldn't be an issue, companies need to make a profit before going for the jugular, we've seen too many fall by the wayside putting hobby first. A simple approach of making detachable arms would work for both camps. |

I like it, apart from the head. I think the paint job doesn't do it any favours though. Dave |

I think the head is either by another sculptor or has been made to fit in with the look of the older miniatures. I'm guessing the former because it looks a little out of place. |

yeah, it doesnt fit in with the older models, if you were to throw a closed visored heavy infantry helmet on there it would look awesome

Karskins are some of the best GW models ever made. The whole model, every component, works together to convey the image of one of humanity's most elite soldiers. This one just doesn't do that. |

I think they would be a cool conversion base for an 'ODST' like Kasrkin, but the model itself isn't high quality. |

I don't actually mind it, the guns [Not on the floor please], but then thats a problem the whole range has, but the model itself isn't bad, maybe a bit rough but certainly not terrible. |
