I have had my intents a long time to build my own 40k Cities of death table, and looking around on the bunker I have seen some intresting builds! Know i'm going to start building my own table, I will start with the main piece. The Governors palace, that will be situated in the middle corner! I'm going to buy 4 Shrine of the Aquila, a landing pad and an Imperial Sector to get enough sprues. But than the big problem is, how shall I start it? Advice would be perfect

I'm in!!! First of all you need to ask yourself some questions. 1. Do you want to make whole table or a single piece for now (this is how I would start it) The single, main piece would than dictate how the whole table looks like. 2. Do you want your Governors palace to be accesible (whole building with roof and balconies or a big, open ruin) If you decide to build whole (intact) building you will have to figure out how to access the insides. (no problem I can help you with that). Or you take the easier way and make ir a ruin. It will be much more accessible and a lot cheaper on the parts (you will have some ruined walls) 3 How big you want this to be? 4 Shrines of Aquila and Imperial Sector is more than enough, but I asume that you want it to last for other buildings as well. And some questions from me... 1.What is "the middle corner!"??? As far as I know a gaming table has 4 corners... which one is the one in the middle? hahaha 2. Did you ever build a terrain/table? and if you did do you have some photos (for refrence of the level of you work). Marcin

And the other point will be a manofactorum! 2.It's going to be an intact building! Thought of doing a scenario later, (To build the inside) were the soldiers are to save the governor and get him to his Valkyria 3 Big enough, thought about 2 big towers in the entrance, and than build a building upon wich a landing pad can fit 4 Shrines of Aquila and Imperial Sector is more than enough, but I asume that you want it to last for other buildings as well!) Yeah I thought so as well! And some questions from me... 1. Haha the Middle corner, well it's in one of the corners. And in the middle of that Corner... LOL 2. Nope, this will be my first shot at building! But I think I can atleast make one of the walls stand up firmly ( MIddle corner: _ <- And its in the middle of that corner! Ok so you want an intact building, two towers on each side of the entrance and a landing pad for Valkyire... hmm I did some reaserch, didn't found much but maybe this will help. Of course it's much bigger than what you will have but the shape and proportions look cool. Do you have the buildings already or you still need to buy them? If you have them I would like you to measure the walls of "Shrine of Aquilla" (I haven't bought myself a copy yet... too busy with commisions and college). I will make some drawings and we eill figure which one you like best... EDIT... forgot to mentions that the building in the photo is not mine creation... just for refrence! And I will buy the kits as soon as I get money. So now the whole thing is in "brainstorm" stage But if I build it with those 2 big towers. We think that 2 towers on each side of the main entrance is a good idea. I think I convinced him to try to make a big, scratchbuild entrance (the GW ones are way too small for this project). I shared some photos with him and I'm still working on the drawings. My idea was to use the Aquila head above the entrance made to look like this... I have no idea where this photos come from but it's very cool!!! On the last photo you can see what it might look like with 2 towers on each side...

And we choose to make a seperate landing pad, like the one in WHite Dwarf (Don't know wich number, it's a building with an elevator).
