I thought I was going to have a hard time saying no to the Ork megaforce, but 9 warbikes?? If I was putting these things together I'd have put some of the kits that don't go in the battleforce into the megaforce (the storm boyz, nobs, grots, and/or battlewagon), so people could buy both and feel like they'd got a proper army. What's wrong with all the other Ork plastics?
Simplez... They want to pay off the cost of the molds for these. Stormboyz, Nobz and Battlewagon will pay for themselves quickly.

(If not already in the case of the battlewagon)

Why won't warbikes pay off the cost of the mold as quickly as the others?

Because they're only worth en masse, but are too damn expensive, hence bugger all people bother with them. The only valid bike list was one that included 30+ bikes, just because you get close to 100 twin linked Str5 shots a turn....

So they're in the megaforce because nobody wants them? An interesting strategy, I wonder if it will pay off...

they're in there in large numbers because people will see it as a discount (which is ofset by there being plenty of sprues in there which cost peanuts to make as they've paid for themselves already) and buy them, thus helping to pay for the mold thus making GW a tidy profit on any future biker sold.

they ARE popular, but they'd cost £60 separately which most people wouldn't pay for 9 models on bikes.

No, they are in the megaforce because everyone wants them, but to make them viable you need a lot of them. Warbikes are cool. The fact that there are nine in there makes me want this force more than any of the other stuff. I would have sacrificed some of the boys for more lootas/burnas though.

My pic is of James Callis, a BSG actor. Unless you mean general pics I've put about. In which case most people seem to think I'm mid twenties is nice. That's why snide comments from Doughface38x don't tend to bother me. ;)
