I know there's a 40k fluff section on the forums but no one reads it and it's so slow that tectonic drift tailgates it flashing its main beam, but does anyone know much about the Navis Nobilite, specifically what colours are associated with them? I'm building an AirCav Veterans army and want to base them around a Navigator and her household guard, so I'm going to be using Kasrkin models painted whatever colours they should be as Veterans in Valkyries and possibly a Primaris Psyker and Astropath. Anything you guys might know would be helpful. |

I know the leader of each house is called the Heir Apparent, the Navigator houses themselves being led by the Paternova who is the most powerful of all Navigators. Not a lot has been written about them to be honest and I'm not sure if they have ever mentioned anything like colour schemes or icons. You best bet may be the Dark Heresy book as it may have some expanded material in there. |

Read the space wolves Grey Hunter novel. I have just gone past a bit talking about Navis Nobilite. I will have a look later for you though |

I was thinking of basing it on these colours. The gold and purple look good together. |

Sounds about right to me mate. ![]() Gold and purple give a very regal look that would suit the Navigator houses well. |

Not even the fanatic Black Templars can survive without the Navigators, their Crusades would stall so badly that they would be powerless ... |

RT fluff had it that Navigators never ever had psychic powers (apart from their ability to navigate in the warp obviously) due to the effects of the Navigator gene. |

he's right but that doesnt stop you using them as the navis nobilite do have psykers to do other psychic things for the like using lightning bolts to cook bacon ect but seriously they need regular readings of the emperors tarot so the navis nobilite does have highly trained psykers and if your going to use imperial guard your best bet would be mordian iron guard and not cadian based models look at the mordian uniform and you will know why Edited by Lord Commander Eidolon, 1 Nov 2009, 01:33 PM.
