Well since Duffy's revelation that he's just bought some nice new trains, along with my recent purchases I thought we'd have a thread showing them off. After all we can show pets so why not ;) So to start....

Well, now have four steam and five diesel, but the two above are limited editions. Prices on ebay of the falcon in the other colours have been through the roof!

Lol no, it comes like that already! Not always a fan of pre-weathered loco's but it looks ok on this one. So where's Dave's and Duffy's? :P

Trains? Is there no end to the randomness of ammobunker.
Pre-weathering looks good, which I am surprised about. Sometimes pre-applied stuff can be a bit dicey.

It's from Heljan who, apart from some dodgy motors in their class 17's, have a very high build quality. Itching to set the track up and get them running!

Shame i have no pictures of my stuff.

Me and my dad have quite a fair collection of stuff (him almost all Southern steam, and me mostly tank engines) i think our collection only has 2 diseasels :P

Have to say that one thing i enjoy the most is buying cheap non-running engines and getting them working again, always save up some money for when i go to the UK to visit my favourite second-hand shop (quite nice that the money goes to a good cause as well :) )

Have to say I'm sorely tempted by the new model of the city of truro that the NRM is selling, only problem is the price, but it's a spankingly good model.

I have to say that the NRM is somewhere ive always wanted to go, but my steam railway trips have been limited to the south...go to Bluebell at least once everytime i'm in the UK.

I've got one. Truly fantastic model, a great runner with no break in needed. The detail is absolutely amazing, knocks the socks of any model that GW could produce (though you can't really compare the two companies) The only faults I can find with it are the fact that the front brake pipe cannot be fitted if you want the front bogie to turn. And the fact that you can't remove the front REM couple.

The model itself is also deceptively big. Much bigger than...say...a Standard 2mt. Probably 3/4 the size of an A3 Pacific.

Apparently there will be a normal run after the NRM limited edition.

I'd double check for you, but the model railway forum I frequent is down for maintenance.

I'm really itching to get back into model railways (or rather get into them properly), but I cant decide on what scale I want, considering how much room I would have available.
