Aye, GW has accepted it for a while. I paid for the GD ticket with it some months ago and at least one order before that - keep in mind it is very rare for me to order anything from GW so it must of been up for quite some time.

Not bothered about FW, never ordered through the site due to the cost of postage, just wait till an event or a visit to WHW.

You're lucky enough to live nearby though Matt.

There are many who get paypal funds from the sale of hobby stuff who would like to use it this way, otherwise (unless they are particularly stupid) why do they often pay more for fw stuff on e-bay than the thing retails for? lol

FW would make even more money if they did start to take paypal, all those kids with ebay accounts would be all over them. Doesn't really bother me if they do or don't, as the only benefit is it will save me having to move to get my wallet when I do an order.

Well not really, it is almost two hours away. Therefore I only get FW stuff when I am going to be there anyway - i.e. for the Bash or the FW open day. It is at GD and at the local model show I buy FW stuff, I just wait a 3-6 months for it to come around.

Most pay more for FW on eBay due to the postage costs, FW charge 12 or 15% depending where you are getting it shipped to, buying it on eBay generally means you pay less than you would buying from FW due to the big saving on postage. This won't change whether you are paying with paypal or with a debit/credit card.

We'll agree to differ then. I know plenty of gamers like myself, who's wife questions everything on the credit card statement! What goes through paypal doesn't worry her! :$

Many also don't like using credit card details on line either, this would be sweet for them.

As for postage, believe me, there's many a time the e-bay sale comes to more than the combined FW/postage cost, plus, buying from FW, you get their after sales support too.

Also you obviously have a far more limited choice of fw model on e-bay.

Anyway, I think it would be cool. That's two of us anyway, another couple and I might have to get round to putting my Space Hulk on e-bay!!!! :D

Also the 12% postage allows FW to send out your goods when they have bits in stock so instead of having to waiting for everything to be in stock they send you what they have.

I have a Paypal account, and I think it would certainly make paying for accessible (for those who can afford it ;) .

But I am sure players who think FW is out of their reach would be a little less inclined to think so if they look on their Paypal and see 60 dollars and look at that FW dread they have always wanted and see 60 dollars.

Does Paypal go by the actual Pound to Dollar conversion or does it do the GW 2 Dollars = 1 Pound. GW is all about streamlining I guess..

Fairly sure it's converted using "current" exchange rate.

Care to elaborate?

As for myself, didn't actually know of this until now, so cheers for pointing it out Wolvie.
