As I said on MSN mate, absolutely brilliant idea :) Was it played as straight Space Hulk, with the humans representing Termies?

Indeed it was sir, makes more sense to me seeing as the termies can die easier(at times) than they should :)

That is awesome!
Aren't there some official models or something similar?

Hi all, these are my handiwork. The majority of the figs are from a range called Future Wars by Copplestone Castings (sometimes referred to as EM-4). The exceptions are Bishop (standard Cadian kit), Ripley and Newt (minis by Hasslefree Miniatures), and Vasquez (conversion using Future Wars female trooper body and left arm, Escher Heavy gun and Escher Juve head +GS).

The official figs you may be referring to were made by Leading Edge Games in about 1990 to go with their Aliens board game. Problem is, they are a) very hard to find and b) too small in scale. The other possibility is the Aliens and Predator action sets Wizkids produced for Horroclix. I happen to have a Predator from that range I plan to repaint and possibly use in Space Hulk (maybe as the Librarian?).

Anyway, glad you like them. As Foot has said, it makes playing Space Hulk a really fun experience - even more so than usual :-)

Cracking models, really well painted and put together. Impressed how much you've got the genestealers to look like aliens.

Good call on the flamer - main reason is that the figure I bought for her didn't have one and she's of a slightly smaller scale so a GW style flamer would look totally oversized. Plus, you've gotta have Drake, and since Vasquez is my smartgunner it made sense to make him the other specialist.

As for the Aliens themselves, the conversions were very simple - I followed the tuts on this website:

Alienids

So, I can't take all the credit for those ones.

you could just use a bit of Pcard and build one? or get one from hasslefree?

They remind me of the boardgame of Doom.

Nicely painted thought, really excellent!

Newt could count as the CAT. Very cool stuff.

I thought Casey was blonde, lol.

If you want a Predator then I suggest using one of these models:

http://www.copplestonecastings.co.uk/range.php?range=FW In the non-human section there's Hunter Aliens that are Predators.

I'm not sure on the scale though.

Khrangar

P.S. They mostly hunt at night. Mostly.

I've seen those, but I'm not a big fan of them. They're a little on the short side and the sculpts aren't great. And yes, Antipope, I use Newt as the CAT - she's perfect for that role. She was rescued by Lt Gorman last week :-)

She's the doll.

What about this: http://privateerpress.com/hordes/gallery/minions/solos/totem-hunter

GS the mask and dreads, alter the hands/arms a bit and it's pretty close.

Hey, not bad. I'm actually waiting for the undercoat to dry on a Horrorclix Predator at the moment though, so I'll see how that turns out but this could be a good second option. My fig needs a weapon swap, though, as the spear suffers from soft plastic droopage...

Finished my Horrorclix Predator repaint - turned out rather well considering how badly it was pre-painted when I bought it.

Might use him as my Librarian, I think.
