Hello all,

I have been absent from the AB for a while, but I'm back (again) and with a problem.

I sent a parcel Panhead, one of the members here just under a month ago now, and it STILL hasn't reached him. I'm in the UK and hes in Canada, but I have recivied my parcel, but he hasn't.

Has there been any mail stikes recently? I'm hoping that the parcel hasn't been lost in the mail :S

Cheers,

DK

Speaking as an ex-postie...

There have been strikes in the Swindon and London areas and isolated bush fire action recently which has resulted in delays to services. There is a significant back log at the moment of up to a month at the extreme latest.

Just as a personal note, I can appreciate that these actions are a major pain in the butt to everyone, but these guys have families and bills just like the rest of us. Having been on strike it isn't a pleasant experience but Royal Mail management are seriously harsh when it comes to workers and this is often their only means of exercising their rights.
Seriously, I've seen things at Royal Mail you wouldn't believe that goes on behind closed doors.
