Not very impressed I have to say. They look like mutants. http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?prodId=prod40009a&utm_source=nesissue60&utm_medium=email&utm_term=imperial-guard&utm_content=textlinkbody&utm_campaign=NES-Issue-60-Imperial-Guard Stowage and http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?prodId=prod40010a&utm_source=nesissue60&utm_medium=email&utm_term=imperial-guard&utm_content=textlinkbody&utm_campaign=NES-Issue-60-Imperial-Guard Aquillas. Step in the right direction, but the heads are bobbins. |

You've put the same link in for heads and stowage. ![]() It's weird that a lot of GW's heads lately have been very apeish, Empire plastics had that look too. SC |

I think that they have finally cottoned onto the bits market that has evolved over the last few years. It's just a shame that those heads aren't that great. Looks like trainee sculptor stuff to me. |

Maybe the heads will look better painted. They look odd. |

Yeah the heads do look odd but that may just be the photo. Will have to reserve jusgment until (if) I see them in person. The stowage seems to be mostly the old plastic stuff recast in metal with a few extra bits on the packs. I think the two crewmen aren't that great. |

Outside of bed, maybe... Sheesh. Tightest pants in the Guard. Stowage looks alright, and I actually like those recast tank commanders. Heads of questionable quality. Edited by Ovaltine Jones, 19 Sep 2009, 08:24 PM.

The tank commanders are old figures. Hell my Master of Ordnance is converted from one. |

Yeah. Except rather than parts from existing models additional extra bits to convert your minis with, kind of like a lot of the small companies that have sprung up in recent years are doing. |

Not an auspicious start though. Hell they could have looked to their own company - Forgeworld - for a clue how to do it properly. |

So, the stowage are plastic bits from the HW and Cadians sprues, the aguila are...mediocre, and twice as expensive as the FW brass etch... I'm confused. We're supposed to *want* this? |

I totally agree. They're probably done by a trainee to be honest, I can't see one of the regular guys churning out something like this. They should get the guy that made the Chapter Masters to do the heads, he'd be pretty good at stuff like this. As for the Aquila, you'd be better off with the forge world etched brass stuff. |

Some good bits in here. I like the crewmen, and the heads - well, might just be the photos. The aquilas aren't that good, I'd get the brass one's myself. Best of the lot is the stowage, but why in metal? I'm sure I'm not the only one who finds attaching metal parts to plastic a right pain? |

Jesus Christ i'm fed up with people who take this attitude. If you don't want it, don't buy it. But don't say things like that. Without GW we wouldn't have any of the models we have now, and I think they're entitled to make bits packs like this. Edited by Shadowphrakt, 20 Sep 2009, 01:14 PM.

Christ calm down. GW have dropped the ball on this. They could have easily looked at the types of things their competitors and their own subsidary were making and instead after all these years they palmed off an inferior product which will help prove that we never really wanted them in the first place. We owe GW nothing. They can make whatever crap they like, but they will use it to prove their own conclusions so this is not a good thing. |

I think the aquillas are ok actually. I don't mind brass etch but i find it quite fiddly and difficult to get off the sprue clean. |
