I'm definately interested in using the Orange Rust powder, could come in quite handy for the crashed Valkyrie model I've got kicking about. |

Been looking at picking up some MIG, might have to give them a go, though I require a more comprehensive guide than they provide. |

MIG does a great DVD on how to use. @ Dave38x: just coz their cheaper don't mean they are worth it, MIG pigment will probably be a superior to FW ones and you get more shades. |

yeah, but its worth a look in. And i only need rust shades, which they do, im sorted on other shades. As mig ones are 3.50 a pop i really cant afford to get a shade just to try it. 2.70, while not that much less, is slightly more persuadable to my mind... |

I already have so many MIG pigments that I'll not be having these. It's nice that they do them though, I'm sure they are just as good. |

I'd stick with the MIG stuff if I was yourself Daemon-Forge. They do more colours for a start. |

I wondered how long it would be before Forgeworld jumped on the pigments bandwagon. Vallejo have also launched a range of pigments. Maelstrom has them priced at £2.69 a pot, ie roughly the same price as the Forgeworld product, yet the Vallejo pots are 30mm whereas Forgeworld's are 18ml. I've got a pot to try so that I can compare them to MIG pigments. The MIG website has a page trying to convince people that their product is better than the Vallejo version; we'll see. Maelstrom Vallejo pigments link. Also Vallejo have released a range of 'extra opaque' colours (presumably competition for the Citadel Foundation range), and washes (competition for the Citadel washes). |

Right, just wondering becuase "they do more colours" isnt really, all together too valid an argument. Fairs fair if they were the same colours that mig have but only a small selection, however i highly doubt that they are that, so if they are diffenent then it is not too bad to order from a different suppliers at the same time. ie some from fw and some from mig. Also if you look at them as an introdoution to pigments, as cheap set that whilst not amazing are just the kind of cheap thing needed to get into using them properly. And then they will be able to move out into larger ranges like migs to find alternate or specific pigments. |
