Hmmm, I think that an 8' by 12' table will be too big, you should scale back. Sorry, what I meant say was "Get bloody cracking - we want to see this done!" |

Yea, in playtesting this weekend, some of our "shorter-armed" players had a hard time reaching in to the center of the table. So I think I'll be carving it down to six-foot wide. Also, that way it will only take three tables to get to twelve feet, and save that fourth table if we need more room on the far end (...you know, if we want to play 15k+ per side or something.).

The angel is a clear acrylic Christmas tree topper I picked up from Walmart two years ago. I liked the design and knew I'd find a use for it one of these days (...like the so many bins of plastic found objects in the basement ). I'll take a pic so you can see how it's mounted on there. The ring of lights are from Dicks Sporting Goods - a tent light. It's been re-blended to better match the brown of the base underneath. For the topper, I lightly sanded it with a green scowering pad. Then primed it in grey, and sprayed it with a baby blue. Then went over that with white, ending with a dusting (from a distance) with the blue again. Then three coats of clear gloss, and a dusting of Dullcote. This helpes it "luminesce", and the blue dusting helps the sence of scale by not being "just white". |

It looks absolutely fantastic. Before the light came on I thought it was good, but lit. It's amazing. |
