These days most of my games are on an urban landscape but my barricades were not themed appropriately so I had an excuse to build some terrain (not that I need an excuse)![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() C & C welcome |

Thanks. Pretty simple making the struts actually. Take a bit of balsawood and cut into lengths of about 3cm. Where the pieces cross you indent both and fix with a drop of wood glue. The bottom ends were trimmed at a 45 degree angle to facilitate mounting on the base where one end was pinned for stability. ![]() ![]() |

Lovely work Severian. Quick question for you, how did you go about basing (plain sand?), and then painting it (colours?)? |

Thanks mate. Painted the base with watered down wood glue and sprinkled on some fine sand. When that was dry glued on a bit of gravel. Spray painted it black then a light drybrush of grey a few touches of green and brown, drybrush with bleached bone and lastly drybrush white until you are happy with the texture. I did an article for a local Fanzine called The Southlander on these - if you are interested have a look at http://the-southlander.deviantart.com/ |

Simple way of doing the barbed wire barricades, might have to use that one day. |
