Did anyone honestly think that was how it worked?

I must read rules with a very different mindset to normal.

Why one would waste a valk with GKs I don't understand.
Dump sisters repentia out in the back 40 and laugh: 11 screaming naked maenads with two handed chainsaws, and their fetish leader with twin whips. Competitive, no. The 'WTF' look on your opponent's face however...

yeah... like the sneaky sneaky thing i once pulled, back in 3rd ed i rolled a rhino right up the flank of my mates tau, he was expecting a berzerker flank charge. It sat there for a turn. Next turn, the hatch popped open and i vaporised a hammerhead with lascannon fire :P

I was planning on doing that. :D

There goes my battle plan...

How cool would grey knights be in Valks!

EDIT: Scratch that, just read the FAQ my plan will still work it's only Grey Knights in Terminator armour that can't.

Power armoured death from above here we come!!!

No, not really. But if I was feeling cheeky... ;)

I don't really mind, I'm just glad a particulary nobby friend I have will stop dropping Terminators out of Valkyries in Apocalypse games.

Also Dave, if the problem could have been resolved by doing more than 'skim-reading' the codex then it wouldn't have been addressed in an FAQ would it?

If Gw learned how to write codexes properly this wouldn't happen. Sergeants with bolters etc etc.
